Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Coolpad 5910 / 5950 / 8750 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (CPLD-312)
This is a 3.7V, 2100mAh (7.77Wh) Li-ion battery for the Coolpad 5910, 5950, 8750, and 7296, among other compatible models. It replaces OEM parts CPLD-312, CPLD-351, and CPLD-342. If your Coolpad shuts down unexpectedly, won't hold a charge, or won't power on at all, this cell restores normal operation.
- Multi-model fit across the Coolpad lineup: The 5910, 5950, 8750, and 7296 share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and 3.7V nominal voltage rail. The BMS handshake protocol is consistent across these models, so one cell covers the full group without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on compatible Coolpad hardware. The BMS accepted the full charge curve without triggering a cutoff fault, and voltage held steady across the discharge profile under both screen-on and modem-active loads.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first cycle: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard current. This lets the fuel gauge IC map its coulomb counter against the new cell's actual discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated cell.
Why the Coolpad 5910 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap
The fuel gauge IC on Coolpad devices stores a learned discharge curve from the original cell. When you swap the cell, the IC still references that old curve to estimate state of charge. The result is percentage readings that don't match real capacity — often reading 30% and then cutting off immediately. One full discharge-charge cycle at standard current forces the coulomb counter to rebuild its reference map against the new cell. After that cycle, percentage reporting stabilises.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell
This is a voltage cliff, not a capacity problem. Under high-current loads — active LTE modem, screen at full brightness — the cell voltage drops sharply below the BMS cutoff threshold even while the fuel gauge still shows charge remaining. The phone interprets the voltage drop as a critical low and shuts down. Fully charge the battery, then run the device under moderate load for the first few cycles to condition the cell. If shutdowns continue past three full cycles, check that resting cell voltage reads 4.1–4.2V after a full charge.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Coolpad 5910 won't turn on after sitting in a drawer for a few months — is the new battery dead too?
Probably not dead, but the BMS has tripped a deep-discharge lockout. If a Li-ion cell drops below roughly 2.5V during storage, the protection circuit locks out to prevent unsafe charging. Plug into a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes before pressing the power button. Most Coolpad BMS circuits will accept a trickle from the charge IC and recover from lockout at that point.
Fast charging stopped working after I fitted the replacement cell — the phone just charges slowly now.
This is normal on the first cycle after a cell swap. The USB charge IC and BMS negotiate charge rate at the start of each session, and an uncalibrated cell often causes the IC to default to standard 5V/1A to avoid overpressure on an unknown impedance. Run one full standard-rate charge cycle to let the BMS log the cell's internal resistance. Fast charge typically re-enables on the second or third charge session once the BMS accepts the new cell profile.
The battery percentage on my Coolpad 8750 keeps jumping around — it shows 45%, then 60%, then back to 40% within minutes.
This is the fuel gauge IC recalibrating against the new cell's discharge curve. The coulomb counter is comparing real-time voltage readings against a learned model that was built around the old, degraded cell — the mismatch produces erratic percentage jumps. Run two full discharge-charge cycles at standard current without interrupting mid-cycle. After that, the IC rebuilds its reference curve and percentage reporting settles to within a few percent of actual state of charge.
