Fits Sanyo SCP-3200 smartphone, replaces OEM battery part number SCP-25LBPL.
Delivers 3.7V at 750mAh capacity, sustaining calls and messaging on the SCP-3200 without voltage sag under load.
Uses standard smartphone connector with spring latch — seat the cell fully until the tab clicks into the battery slot.
We bench-tested this cell through five charge cycles; the BMS accepted the pack on cycle one with no fault codes.
On first use after installation, disable any fast-charge mode for one complete discharge-charge cycle — this recalibrates the fuel gauge IC against the new cell discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Sanyo SCP-3200 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (SCP-25LBPL)

This is a 3.7V, 750mAh Li-ion cell built to the SCP-25LBPL specification, fitting the Sanyo SCP-3200 mobile phone. It replaces the original battery when the cell has degraded past the point of holding a usable charge. Voltage and connector match the SCP-3200 board exactly.

  • SCP-3200 platform fit: The SCP-3200 uses a single-cell 3.7V nominal architecture with a fixed connector keyed to the SCP-25LBPL footprint. No adapter or modification is needed — the BMS handshake runs through the same contact array as the factory cell.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the SCP-3200 board. The BMS accepted the cell without fault codes, and charge termination triggered correctly at full cell voltage with no thermal events observed.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After installing a new cell, run one full discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% before using the phone normally. The SCP-3200's fuel gauge IC reads the new cell's discharge curve during this first cycle — skipping it leaves the percentage readout unreliable for several days.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This is a voltage cliff problem, not a capacity problem. Under modem transmission load or screen-on bursts, the cell voltage drops faster than the fuel gauge expects, crossing the BMS cutoff threshold while the OS still shows remaining charge. The original fuel gauge IC in the SCP-3200 was calibrated against an aged cell curve, so it misreads where the new cell's safe floor actually sits. One full discharge-to-shutdown and uninterrupted recharge cycle resets the coulomb counter against the new cell's actual voltage profile. After that cycle, shutdowns at high displayed percentages should stop.

Phone warm near the battery during the first few charges

A new Li-ion cell has higher internal impedance than a cell that has been through several charge cycles. The SCP-3200's charge IC pushes current into a higher-impedance load during early cycles, which generates more heat at the cell than you'd normally notice. This is temporary — impedance drops after three to five charge cycles as the cell's internal chemistry settles. If the phone stays warm beyond the fifth full charge, check that the back cover is seated fully and not trapping heat against the battery.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does my SCP-3200 show 25% battery then shut off immediately after I put in the new battery?

The fuel gauge IC in the SCP-3200 is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve, so it cannot accurately predict where the new cell's voltage floor sits under load. When the modem or screen pulls current, the cell voltage drops below the BMS cutoff threshold before the displayed percentage reaches zero. Run one full discharge — let the phone shut itself off — then charge straight to 100% without interruption. That single cycle gives the coulomb counter enough data to track the new cell correctly.

The battery percentage on my SCP-3200 jumps around erratically after the swap — 60%, then 45%, then 55% within minutes. What's causing this?

The fuel gauge IC is recalibrating against a cell it has never seen before, so its state-of-charge estimates are unstable until it has a complete discharge curve to reference. This is most visible in the first two to three cycles after installation. Let the phone run through two full discharge-and-charge cycles without interrupting them midway. After the second complete cycle, the percentage readout should track steadily.

My SCP-3200 won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat unused in a drawer for a few months. Is the battery dead?

Li-ion cells self-discharge in storage, and if the SCP-25LBPL dropped below approximately 2.5V per cell, the BMS entered lockout mode to prevent damage — the phone won't respond to the power button in this state. Connect the phone to a charger and leave it for 20 to 30 minutes before pressing power; the charge IC needs time to trickle current into a deeply discharged cell before the BMS will unlock normal operation. If the charging indicator appears within that window, the cell is recovering — let it reach at least 10% before booting the phone.
