Fits cordless DECT handsets using 2/3AAA x 3 battery configuration, replacing original degraded packs.
This 3.6V 300mAh Ni-MH cell restores full talk time on handsets that no longer hold charge.
Connector slides into standard 2/3AAA x 3 slot; no adapter or modification needed for proper fit.
We bench tested this pack on a base charger cycle — BMS voltage stabilized at 3.6V under load without early cutoff.
After installing, place the handset in the base for a full 16-hour charge before first use — NiMH cordless phone batteries require a slow first charge to reach rated capacity.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Universal 2/3AAA x 3 — 3.6V Ni-MH Replacement Battery

This is a 3.6V, 300mAh Ni-MH replacement battery in the 2/3AAA x 3 configuration. It fits cordless DECT phone handsets that use this three-cell pack arrangement. If your handset no longer holds a charge or cuts out mid-call, this battery replaces the degraded original cell pack.

  • 2/3AAA x 3 configuration: Three 2/3AAA cells wired in series produce the 3.6V rail that DECT handset electronics and RF transmitters require. The physical layout and connector position match the original pack, so it seats correctly in the handset battery compartment.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through charge and discharge on a DECT handset base station and confirmed the BMS accepted charge without triggering an error state. Voltage at full charge measured within the expected range for Ni-MH chemistry.
  • First-charge protocol for Ni-MH cordless packs: After installing, place the handset in the base and leave it undisturbed for a full 16 hours before first use. Ni-MH cells in storage arrive partially discharged — a slow first charge lets each cell reach rated capacity and sets the baseline for subsequent cycles.

Talk time shorter than the original battery after replacement

Ni-MH cells do not deliver rated capacity on the first cycle out of the box. Capacity builds over three to five full charge-and-discharge cycles as the cell chemistry stabilises. If talk time is noticeably short after the first day, run the handset until the low-battery alert sounds, then return it to the base for a full charge. Repeat this three times and capacity will reach its rated 300mAh level.

Base station showing no charge or error light on a new pack

A Ni-MH pack that has been in storage can drop to a voltage level the base station charger circuit reads as a fault condition rather than a discharged battery. The base may show an error light or simply refuse to charge. Remove the handset, wait 30 seconds, and reseat it firmly — some base chargers retry initialisation on reconnect. If the error persists, check that the battery contacts on both the handset and the pack are clean and making full contact, then reseat again.

Frequently Asked Questions

My cordless handset lost its pairing with the base after I swapped the battery — how do I fix that?

Some DECT phones store pairing data in volatile memory that resets when power is fully removed, which happens the moment you pull the old battery. The handset comes back up unpaired because it genuinely forgot the base. Check your handset manual for the registration procedure — on most DECT systems this means pressing the page or register button on the base for three seconds, then navigating to "register" in the handset menu. Once re-registered at close range, move the handset back to normal distance and test.

The handset battery drains completely overnight even when it's sitting in the base — what's causing that?

This points to the handset not making proper contact with the base charging pins rather than a battery fault. If the handset is slightly misaligned in the cradle, the base cannot deliver charge current, and the standby draw of the DECT radio slowly flattens the pack overnight. Remove the handset, check the charging contacts on the base and the handset for dirt or oxidation, clean them with a dry cloth, and reseat the handset so it clicks fully into position. After one overnight charge the battery level should return to full.

The range on my cordless phone is noticeably worse after fitting the new battery — is something wrong?

Range drops when the battery voltage sags under the RF transmit load. A Ni-MH pack in its first few cycles has not yet reached full capacity, so voltage dips more sharply when the DECT radio fires. This is not a defect — it corrects itself after three to five full charge-discharge cycles. Run the handset down to the low-battery alert, return it to the base for a full 16-hour charge, and repeat; by cycle four the voltage under RF load will stabilise and range will return to normal.
