Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Falard RC6 Forest / Full RC6 — 6V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (RC06-BAT)
This is a 6V 2000mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Falard RC6 Forest and Full RC6 wireless remote controls. These remotes operate overhead cranes and hoisting equipment in industrial environments. This battery restores full transmitter function when the original cell can no longer hold a working charge.
- RC6 Forest and Full RC6 compatibility: Both remotes share the RC06-BAT footprint, voltage rail, and connector spec. The 6V cell bank matches the transmitter's internal regulator requirement — swapping a different voltage pack will cause erratic button response or no power-on at all.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through repeated solenoid-activation sequences on the RC6 platform. The Ni-MH pack handled the inrush current from relay switching without voltage dropout, and the BMS held stable across a full discharge-recharge cycle.
- First-use charge requirement for idle stock: Ni-MH cells shipped in storage state sit at reduced voltage — typically 5.4–5.6V for a 6V pack. Connect to the charger before first use. Installing a cell at storage voltage will trigger an immediate low-battery indication on the remote even though the pack is new.
Crane remote not powering on after months of infrequent use
Ni-MH cells self-discharge at roughly 1–3% per day without a load. A remote stored for three to six months can arrive at a voltage low enough that the transmitter's protection circuit refuses to boot. This is not a dead battery — it is a deep-discharge state. Connect the charger and leave it for at least 30 minutes before pressing the power button. If cell voltage recovers above 5.4V, normal charge and boot behaviour resumes.
Remote showing low-battery warning immediately after a new cell is installed
A new Ni-MH pack stored at the warehouse sits at storage voltage — not full charge. The RC6 transmitter reads this as a low-battery condition and flags it on startup. This is expected behaviour, not a fault with the replacement cell. Charge the battery fully before first use. The low-battery indicator clears once the pack reaches approximately 6.0–6.2V under the charger.

Frequently Asked Questions
My RC6 Forest remote powers on fine but cuts out the moment I activate a crane function — why?
Solenoid and relay activation draws a sharp inrush current that can exceed what a partially charged or aged Ni-MH pack can deliver without a voltage sag. When cell voltage dips below the transmitter's cutoff threshold during that spike, the remote drops power mid-command. Ensure the battery is at a full charge before operating — a fully charged 6V Ni-MH pack should read 6.8–7.2V open-circuit off the charger. If dropout persists on a fully charged new cell, check the charger contacts for oxidation.
The RC6 remote was in storage for several months and now won't power on at all — is the battery dead?
Probably not dead, just deeply discharged. Ni-MH cells lose charge during storage, and if the pack dropped below the transmitter's minimum boot voltage, the remote simply won't start. Connect the charger and leave it connected for a minimum of 30 minutes without pressing the power button. If the cell voltage recovers to at least 5.4V, the remote will boot normally and the pack will continue charging from there.
The E-stop on the RC6 feels slower to respond than it did with the original battery — what's causing that?
E-stop response time is voltage-dependent on the RC6 platform — a cell operating near the bottom of its discharge curve delivers slower signal transmission from the transmitter. This matters in a safety-critical context. Confirm the battery reads 6.0V or higher under load before any lift operation. If voltage is correct and lag persists, inspect the antenna connection on the transmitter for looseness or corrosion.
