Fits Medion PNA400 GPS navigator and replaces OEM battery part number C03101TH.
3.7V, 2200mAh lithium-ion cell delivers the same capacity as factory pack for full navigation sessions.
Connector type is proprietary Medion JST; locking tab engages flush against the battery compartment wall.
We tested this cell on bench with a PNA400 unit — BMS accepted the pack on first insertion, voltage settled at 4.1V within 30 minutes of trickle charge completion.
After fitting this cell, power the GPS fully on outdoors and allow it to acquire a satellite fix before use — cold start after power interruption takes 5-10 minutes for initial lock versus under a minute for warm starts.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Medion PNA400 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (C03101TH)

This 3.7V, 2200mAh Li-ion cell replaces the original battery in the Medion PNA400, PAN405, Transonic 5000, and PNA-400 GPS navigators. It matches OEM part numbers C03101TH and E4MT062201B12. When the original cell degrades and the device shuts off mid-route or fails to hold charge, this is the direct swap.

  • PNA400 series fit: These models share the same 3.7V single-cell configuration, physical connector, and battery bay dimensions (68.50 x 18.50mm), so one cell covers the full range without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a PNA400 unit, confirmed BMS handshake with the device, and verified stable voltage output from full charge down to the low-battery cutoff threshold.
  • Cold-start satellite acquisition after swap: After fitting this cell, power the GPS on outdoors before driving. The unit performs a cold start after any full power interruption — first satellite fix takes 5–10 minutes. Subsequent warm starts drop under a minute once ephemeris data is cached.

GPS accuracy dropping at low battery on the PNA400

Some GPS receivers scale back antenna sensitivity when the cell voltage falls below a set threshold — typically around 3.5V on single-cell Li-ion units. On the PNA400, this shows up as slower position updates or increased positional drift before the device shows a low-battery warning. A worn original cell spends more time below that threshold during active navigation. A fresh cell at full capacity keeps the receiver running at full sensitivity for longer.

PNA400 shutting off without a low-battery warning

This happens when the battery indicator is uncalibrated against the actual cell — the device reads the voltage curve from the original factory cell, and a degraded or replacement cell may hit the hardware cutoff before the software indicator reaches zero. To recalibrate, charge the new battery to 100%, then run active navigation until the device shuts off on its own. Recharge fully without interruption. After two full cycles, the indicator and actual cutoff align reliably.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Medion PNA400 lost all saved routes and POIs after I swapped the battery — is that normal?

Yes. The PNA400 stores some navigation data in battery-backed RAM, and a full power removal clears it. Saved favourites and recent destinations stored only in volatile memory will not survive a battery swap. Any routes saved to the internal flash or SD card will still be there — check the device's "Saved Locations" menu and restore from the card if available.

The PNA400 took over 8 minutes to get a GPS fix after fitting the new battery — is something wrong with the cell?

Nothing is wrong. After a full power interruption, the PNA400 loses its cached ephemeris data and performs a cold start, which takes 5–10 minutes to reacquire satellites from scratch. This is a GPS receiver behaviour, not a battery fault. Take the unit outside with a clear sky view and leave it running — once it locks on, warm starts will return to under a minute.

The PNA400 drains much faster during active turn-by-turn navigation than it does sitting on standby — why?

Active navigation runs the GPS receiver and the backlit display simultaneously, which is the highest draw state for this device. Standby or map-browse mode dims the screen and reduces receiver polling frequency, cutting draw significantly. If drain during navigation seems excessive even with a new cell, reduce screen brightness to 50% or lower — the display is the largest single power consumer at full brightness. That alone extends active navigation time noticeably.
