Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Eufy 4G LTE Outdoor / S300 eufyCam — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (LGM50LT-1S2P)
This is a 3.7V 9000mAh (33.3Wh) Li-ion cell replacement for the Eufy 4G LTE Outdoor camera, S300 eufyCam, Security 4K Solar Security Camera, and T8161. It uses the LGM50LT-1S2P cell configuration and fits directly into the battery compartment on all four models. Voltage and capacity match the original specification exactly.
- 4G LTE Outdoor, S300, T8161 compatibility: All four models on the fit list share the same 3.7V single-cell architecture, LGM50LT-1S2P cell format, and BMS handshake protocol. The connector pinout and physical footprint are identical across this camera family, so one cell covers the whole group.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through motion-triggered recording cycles, monitoring BMS behaviour under the combined IR LED and 4G modem current draw. The protection circuit held steady through repeated trigger events without tripping into cutoff.
- Post-install power cycle: After fitting this cell, run one full power cycle through the Eufy app — hold the sync button until the camera reboots. The firmware must re-register the new cell before motion events log correctly to cloud storage. Skipping this step can cause missed clips even when the camera appears online.
Why the 4G LTE Outdoor camera goes offline in the app after a battery swap
When power is removed to replace the battery, the camera loses its active session token with the Eufy cloud. Reinserting a charged cell restores power but does not automatically re-establish that session. The app shows the device as offline even though the camera has voltage. To fix it, press and hold the sync button for 10 seconds until you hear two beeps, then let the camera reconnect through the Eufy Security app.
App showing 0% or a frozen percentage reading after fitting a new cell
The Eufy camera uses a voltage-threshold indicator, not a fuel gauge IC. When a new cell goes in at a different state of charge than the firmware last recorded, the percentage display locks or reads zero until the indicator recalibrates. Run the camera through one complete discharge-to-recharge cycle and the threshold readings will reset. After a full charge the app should display a value above 95% at 4.1–4.2V.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Eufy 4G LTE Outdoor camera stops recording mid-clip — could the new battery be causing this?
Yes, and the cause is usually a 4G reconnection spike on a weak signal. When the modem drops and re-acquires the LTE signal, the current surge can momentarily trip the BMS protection circuit, cutting the recording. Check signal strength in the Eufy app under device settings — if it reads one bar or below, reposition the camera or add a signal booster. On the bench this battery held through reconnection events at two bars and above without tripping.
The solar panel charged the original battery fine but won't recover this new cell — what's happening?
A deeply discharged Li-ion cell drops below the BMS re-entry voltage threshold, typically around 2.5–3.0V. At that point the BMS locks out charging to prevent damage, and the solar panel's low-current output is not enough to push past that threshold and wake the protection circuit. Connect the camera to a USB-C charger for 15–20 minutes first — that higher input current will bring the cell up past the re-entry voltage and allow the BMS to unlock. Solar charging can take over from there once the cell reads above 3.2V.
Night vision works right after I install the battery but the camera stops detecting motion by morning — why?
Sustained IR LED draw overnight accelerates voltage drop on the cell. If the firmware's low-voltage threshold is set conservatively, it will put the camera into a sleep state before the cell is actually flat. In the Eufy app, go to Device Settings → Power Manager and set the low-battery cutoff to the lowest available option. This stops the firmware from sleeping the camera prematurely while the cell still has usable capacity above 3.5V.
