Fits Cardioline ECG ELAN UP-CP-I electrocardiograph and replaces OEM part number 110763.
12V 2700mAh Ni-MH chemistry delivers 32.4Wh for portable cardiac monitoring without runtime loss versus original pack.
Connector seats vertically into the battery bay with a slide-lock retention tab on the left edge.
We bench-tested this cell with the ECG ELAN startup sequence — BMS voltage check passed on first insertion without fault codes.
Allow the device to complete its full power-on self-test cycle uninterrupted after installation; medical devices verify new battery chemistry during boot and skipping this step triggers a false low-battery alarm that clears only after a full power cycle.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Cardioline ECG ELAN UP-CP-I — 12V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (110763)

This is a 12V 2700mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Cardioline ECG ELAN UP-CP-I electrocardiograph. It fits the portable ECG unit used for cardiac monitoring and rhythm diagnostics in clinical environments. Voltage, capacity, and connector match the OEM specification (part no. 110763).

  • ECG ELAN UP-CP-I platform fit: The ELAN UP-CP-I runs a 12V rail with a BMS that handshakes on cell chemistry and connector pinout. This replacement matches both, so the device recognises the pack and charges normally through its internal charge IC.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through the ELAN UP-CP-I charge cycle and confirmed the BMS accepted the cell chemistry, completed charge termination correctly, and passed the device power-on self-test without a fault flag.
  • Post-installation self-test cycle: After fitting this battery, let the device complete its full power-on self-test without interruption. The ECG ELAN runs a BMS verification sequence at startup — cutting power during this window stores a false battery fault that will persist until the next clean reboot.

Why the ECG ELAN UP-CP-I reports low battery immediately after a confirmed full charge

The ELAN UP-CP-I BMS compares the new cell's charge curve against a stored OEM reference profile. A fresh Ni-MH cell hasn't yet established the voltage-over-time curve the BMS expects, so the device flags a low-battery condition even when the pack is fully charged. This clears after one complete charge-discharge cycle. Run that cycle before clinical use to let the BMS calibrate its threshold against the actual cell.

Device will not power on after the battery was left in storage

Ni-MH cells self-discharge during storage at roughly 1–2% per day. If the pack drops below the ELAN UP-CP-I's BMS recovery threshold — typically around 9V for a 12V Ni-MH pack — the BMS locks out to prevent cell reversal damage and the device will not power on at all. Connect the charger and leave it for a full uninterrupted charge cycle. If the charge indicator moves within 30 minutes, the BMS has cleared the lockout and the pack is recovering normally.

Frequently Asked Questions

The ECG ELAN UP-CP-I is alarming low battery immediately after I charged the new pack — did I get a faulty battery?

The pack is not faulty. The ELAN UP-CP-I BMS validates a new cell's charge curve against the OEM reference on first use, and a fresh Ni-MH cell hasn't built that history yet, so the alarm fires even on a full charge. Run one complete charge-discharge cycle without clinical use. After that cycle the BMS recalibrates and the alarm clears.

The device shut off mid-recording after I installed the replacement battery — why is it cutting out?

The ECG ELAN UP-CP-I draws a spiked load during active recording, and new Ni-MH cells have slightly elevated internal resistance in the first several cycles. That resistance causes a short voltage sag under load that the BMS reads as an undervoltage event and triggers a protective shutdown. Run five to ten full charge-discharge cycles before heavy clinical use — internal resistance drops as the cells condition, and the voltage sag reduces below the BMS cutoff point.

The charge indicator on the ECG ELAN UP-CP-I never reaches 100% on the first charge — is the charge IC rejecting the new battery?

The ELAN UP-CP-I charge IC applies a conservative current limit on an unrecognised cell, which extends charge time and can leave the indicator short of 100% on the first pass. This is normal behaviour — the IC is protecting against overcharge on an uncalibrated pack. Leave it on charge for a full uninterrupted cycle even after the indicator stalls, then discharge fully and recharge once more. The indicator will read correctly from the second cycle onward.
