Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Atoms CC26 / MC26 — 11.1V Li-ion Replacement Battery (110709-O)
This 11.1V 2600mAh (28.86Wh) lithium-ion battery replaces the original power cell in the Atoms CC26, Carry Care 26, MC26, and Medap Venta Multi Care 26 portable medical devices. It matches the OEM voltage rail, connector, and BMS communication profile required by this equipment class. Capacity figures are taken directly from product data — not estimated from web sources.
- CC26 / MC26 platform fit: These models share a common 11.1V three-cell architecture and the same BMS handshake protocol. A battery mismatched on cell chemistry or internal resistance will fail the device's startup verification check, even if it physically connects.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through charge and discharge on the CC26 platform and confirmed the BMS accepted the cell, completed its initialisation sequence, and held voltage within spec under a simulated clinical load profile across the first three cycles.
- Power-on self-test protocol: After installing this battery, allow the device to complete its full power-on self-test cycle without interrupting it. Medical devices in this class run BMS verification at startup — cutting power mid-sequence triggers a false battery fault that persists until the next complete reboot.
Device not completing boot sequence after battery swap
The CC26 and MC26 run a BMS learn cycle during their first few boot sequences after a new cell is installed. If the device stalls or loops at the boot screen, the BMS has not yet established a baseline for the new cell's internal resistance. This is not a faulty battery — it is the device's charge IC applying conservative thresholds until it recognises the cell profile. Run one complete charge-discharge cycle, then reboot. The boot sequence should complete normally once the BMS has logged a full cycle.
Low battery alarm triggers immediately after a confirmed full charge
This happens when the device's BMS compares the new cell's voltage curve against the threshold calibrated for a conditioned OEM cell. A fresh replacement cell has not yet settled its internal chemistry, so its resting voltage after a first charge can read slightly below the alarm threshold. The alarm clears after one complete charge-discharge cycle, which lets the BMS recalibrate to the new cell. Charge the battery to full, run the device through a normal use session until it signals low, then charge again — the alarm should not repeat after that second full charge.

Frequently Asked Questions
The CC26 won't power on at all after the replacement battery arrived — it just shows a blank screen. What's wrong?
A cell that has sat in storage can self-discharge below the BMS recovery threshold, typically under 9V for an 11.1V three-cell pack. At that voltage the device's BMS will refuse to initialise and the screen stays blank. Connect the battery to the charger for at least two hours before inserting it into the device — most charge ICs will trickle-charge a deeply discharged cell back above the recovery threshold before handing off to the main charge cycle. Once the charger shows a normal charge status indicator, reinstall the battery and power on.
The device shuts off mid-use but the battery indicator was showing two bars — why is it cutting out without warning?
Medical devices in this class apply a demanding load profile, and a new cell's internal resistance is higher in its first ten cycles than it will be once conditioned. Under clinical load, elevated internal resistance causes a voltage sag that the BMS reads as a critically low cell — it trips the cutoff before the indicator has time to step down. This is not a fault with the battery. Run three to five full charge-discharge cycles under normal device use and the cutoff threshold will align with the displayed charge level as cell resistance stabilises.
The charge indicator has been sitting at 95% for over an hour and won't reach 100% — is the battery defective?
It is not defective. The charge IC on the CC26 platform applies a conservative current limit during the final absorption phase on a new cell, which extends the time to reach a full-charge cutoff voltage of 12.6V. This is intentional — the IC is protecting a cell it has not yet profiled. Leave the device on charge without interruption until the indicator reaches 100% and the charger drops to maintenance mode. After the first full charge completes this way, subsequent charges will reach 100% in normal time.
