Fits Reflecta X7-Scan portable scanner; replaces OEM battery for document digitization device.
3.7V, 750mAh lithium-ion cell delivers stable power for scanning sessions without mid-operation cutoff.
Connector slides straight into X7-Scan battery slot; locking tab secures pack flush against device housing.
We ran full discharge cycles on bench; BMS accepted charge protocol immediately, voltage held steady under load.
On first use after installation, run one complete discharge-charge cycle with fast charging disabled to let the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell curve before high-current charging resumes.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

REFLECTA X7-Scan — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 3.7V, 750mAh (2.78Wh) Li-ion replacement battery for the REFLECTA X7-Scan portable document scanner. It fits directly into the X7-Scan battery compartment and restores full scanning function when the original cell degrades. Dimensions are 53.00 × 33.90 × 5.70mm — measure your existing cell before ordering if unsure.

  • X7-Scan platform fit: The X7-Scan runs a low-draw scanning circuit at 3.7V nominal. This cell matches that voltage rail and the physical footprint of the original. No connector modification needed.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through the X7-Scan's charge and discharge circuit. The BMS accepted charge without fault, and the scanner powered through a full document batch without a mid-session cutoff.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable any fast-charge mode and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before reporting accurate percentages to the device firmware.

Why the X7-Scan shows wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The X7-Scan uses a fuel gauge IC that builds its charge estimate from a stored discharge curve. When you fit a new cell, that curve no longer matches the old one. The gauge continues calculating against stale data, so the percentage it shows drifts from actual charge state. One full discharge down to device cutoff, followed by a complete charge to 100%, resets the coulomb counter reference. After that single cycle, the percentage readout stabilises.

X7-Scan shutting down suddenly at 20–30% remaining

This is a voltage cliff, not a capacity problem. At 20–30% state of charge, the cell voltage drops steeply under the load spike from the scanner's image sensor and processor. If the cell voltage falls below the BMS cutoff threshold — typically around 3.0V under load — the BMS trips and the device shuts down even though the gauge still shows charge remaining. A fresh cell with lower internal resistance sustains voltage through those load spikes. If shutdowns persist after fitting this replacement, check that the battery contacts are clean and seating flush — a poor contact raises effective resistance and triggers the same symptom.

Frequently Asked Questions

The X7-Scan won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is the cell dead?

Probably not dead, but the BMS has locked out the cell due to voltage dropping below 2.5V during storage. Connect the scanner to its charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes without attempting to power it on — most BMS circuits trickle-charge a deeply discharged cell back above the lockout threshold before allowing normal operation. If the charge LED does not activate within that window, check the charging cable and port first. Once the cell reaches approximately 3.0V, the BMS re-enables discharge and the scanner will power on normally.

The X7-Scan percentage is jumping around — showing 60%, then 45%, then back to 55% within minutes of use. What's happening?

The fuel gauge IC is recalibrating against the new cell's discharge curve and has not yet built an accurate model. This erratic jumping is normal for the first few cycles after a cell replacement. Run the scanner down to automatic shutdown, then charge it fully to 100% without interruption — do this twice. After two complete cycles, the coulomb counter accumulates enough data to produce a stable readout.

Fast charging stopped working after I fitted the replacement battery — the X7-Scan only trickle charges now. How do I fix it?

On first charge after a cell swap, some charge controllers default to a conservative trickle rate because the BMS on the new cell has not yet confirmed its parameters to the host charge IC. Let the first charge complete fully at the slow rate without unplugging mid-cycle. On the second charge, the charge IC should recognise the BMS handshake and restore the normal charge current. If standard charge rate does not return by the third cycle, inspect the battery connector pins for any debris or oxidation and clean with isopropyl alcohol — a resistive contact prevents the charge IC from reading the BMS signal correctly.
