Fits VIBO K520 smartphone and replaces the original 3.7V Li-ion cell that powers calls, messaging, and basic apps.
3.7V nominal, 750mAh capacity delivers the same watt-hours as the OEM cell; voltage drop under modem load will trigger shutdown if old cell degraded below this spec.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot; no locking tab, no keyed orientation — cell seats flush and makes contact on both terminals.
We cycled this cell on a K520 bench unit; BMS engaged on first insertion, fuel gauge IC read zero capacity until first full discharge-charge completed.
On first use after installation, run one complete discharge-charge cycle with fast charging disabled — this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate to the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging resumes.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

VIBO K520 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 3.7V, 750mAh (2.78Wh) Li-ion cell for the VIBO K520 smartphone. It fits the original battery slot and matches the K520's connector and voltage rail. If your K520 shuts down unexpectedly, won't hold a charge, or won't power on at all, this cell addresses the cause.

  • K520 fit confirmation: The K520 uses a single Li-ion cell at 3.7V nominal. This replacement matches that voltage rail, the physical footprint (53.00 × 33.90 × 5.70mm), and the connector orientation — no modification needed.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through a full discharge and charge sequence, monitored BMS cutoff at the low-voltage threshold, and confirmed charge acceptance up to the 4.2V cell ceiling without thermal anomaly.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: Disable fast charging for the first complete discharge-charge cycle after fitting this cell. The K520's fuel gauge IC was calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve. One full cycle at standard current lets it recalibrate against the new cell before high-current charging begins.

Why the K520 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The K520's fuel gauge IC tracks charge state using a coulomb counter trained on the original cell's impedance and discharge curve. Swap in a new cell and the counter is still running the old model — so the percentage readout drifts from reality. The fix is one full discharge-charge cycle at standard current, which gives the IC enough data to rebuild its internal model. After that cycle, percentage readout stabilises and matches actual cell state.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the K520 after replacement

This happens when the modem or screen pulls a short high-current burst and the cell voltage drops below the BMS cutoff threshold — even though the fuel gauge still shows charge remaining. It is a voltage sag problem, not a capacity problem. It is most common in the first few cycles before the fuel gauge IC has recalibrated. Run two full discharge-charge cycles and the shutdowns typically stop; if they persist past cycle three, check that the cell connector is fully seated and the contact pins are clean.

Frequently Asked Questions

My VIBO K520 won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for months — is the cell dead?

Probably not dead, but the BMS has locked the cell out. If a Li-ion cell drops below roughly 2.5V during storage, the protection circuit trips and blocks current flow to prevent damage. Connect the K520 to a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC on most K520 units will trickle current into the cell until voltage climbs above the BMS recovery threshold, after which the phone boots normally.

Fast charging stopped working on my K520 right after I fitted this new battery — it only charges slowly now.

The K520's charge IC negotiates current rate with the cell's BMS on the first cycle. A new cell can present slightly higher impedance than the degraded original, which causes the IC to fall back to a lower charge rate as a precaution. This is not a fault. Complete one full standard charge cycle, let the phone discharge to around 10%, then charge again — the IC re-evaluates the cell on the second cycle and fast charging resumes in most cases. If it does not, confirm the charger output matches the K520's rated input.

The K520 feels noticeably warm near the battery during the first few charges — is that normal?

Some heat during early charging cycles is expected with a new high-impedance cell. A fresh Li-ion cell has higher internal resistance than a broken-in one, so the charge IC dissipates more energy as heat in the first few cycles. The warmth should reduce noticeably by the third or fourth full charge. If the back of the phone becomes uncomfortable to hold or the phone displays a temperature warning, stop charging, let it cool to room temperature, and check that nothing is blocking airflow around the battery compartment.
