Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Asus RC72LA-NH002W Series — 15.56V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (0B200-04560000)
This 15.56V 5100mAh (79.36Wh) lithium-polymer battery fits the Asus RC72LA series, including the NH002W, NH007W, NH011W, and NH021W variants. It replaces OEM parts 0B200-04560000 and C41N2311. Install this when the original cell no longer holds a charge or the laptop has become tethered to the wall.
- RC72LA series compatibility: These models share the same four-cell Li-Polymer architecture, 15.56V rail, and BMS handshake protocol — the connector pinout and charge controller communication are identical across all NH variants listed.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge, discharge, and load-spike sequences. The BMS held cutoff at the correct low-voltage threshold and accepted a full CC/CV charge cycle without fault flags.
- Post-install calibration tip: After fitting this cell, run the laptop until Windows triggers hibernate at low battery, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This forces the BIOS battery learn cycle to reset against the new cell and clears the false "poor health" flag that appears after any cell swap.
BIOS reporting poor battery health immediately after fitting a new cell
The RC72LA's BIOS stores battery health data in EEPROM tied to the original cell's charge history. When a new cell is installed, that stored data no longer matches the actual cell state, so the firmware flags it as degraded. This is a data mismatch, not a fault with the replacement. Run one full discharge-to-hibernate cycle followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% to trigger the BIOS learn cycle. After one or two cycles, the health readout will recalibrate to the new cell.
Laptop shutting down abruptly while the OS still shows 20–25% remaining
This happens when the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old, degraded cell's discharge curve. Under combined CPU and display load, the new cell's voltage drops faster than the IC expects, hitting the BMS cutoff before the percentage reaches zero. It is not a fault in the replacement — the IC simply needs recalibration cycles. Discharge fully to hibernate cutoff twice in a row with normal use, charging to 100% each time, and the shutdowns will stop as the fuel gauge resets its endpoint to 3.0V per cell.

Frequently Asked Questions
Windows is showing the new battery as "0% available (plugged in)" and it won't charge — what's happening?
The fuel gauge IC on the RC72LA reads EEPROM data from the old cell and can briefly report 0% or "unknown" when it encounters a new cell with no charge history. Plug the laptop in and leave it connected for at least 30 minutes without interruption — the BMS needs time to initialise communication with the new cell before the charge controller opens. If the percentage stays at 0% after that, shut the laptop down fully, leave it plugged in for another 20 minutes, then restart. Most cases clear after the first full charge cycle to 100%.
System info shows this battery as 56Wh but the spec says 79.36Wh — is it the wrong battery?
The Wh figure shown in Windows Device Manager pulls from the EEPROM design capacity field, which reflects the old cell's degraded last-known state, not the physical cell installed. The actual cell in this battery is rated 79.36Wh. Run a full discharge to hibernate and a complete charge to 100% — after that cycle, the reported design capacity will update to reflect the new cell's actual rating. No hardware fault is present.
The RC72LA charges fine but cuts off at exactly 80% and won't go higher — is the cell faulty?
An 80% charge ceiling on this platform is almost always the BIOS battery care setting, not a cell fault. Asus laptops include a firmware-controlled charge limit — check MyASUS or Battery Health Charging in the Windows app tray and confirm the mode is set to "Full Capacity" rather than "Balanced" or "Long Life." If MyASUS is not installed, download it from the Microsoft Store and toggle the setting there. The cell itself will accept a full charge to 15.56V once the firmware limit is lifted.
