Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Clevo N350DV / N350DW Series — 11.1V Li-ion Replacement Battery (N350BAT-6)
This is an 11.1V, 5200mAh (57.72Wh) Li-ion replacement battery for the Clevo N350DV, N350DW, B519II(47781)(N350TW), and B519II(N350TW) laptops. It replaces OEM part numbers N350BAT-6, N350BAT-9, 6-87-N350S-4D7, and 6-87-N350S-4D8. The physical dimensions are 204.90 × 49.10 × 19.90mm — confirm clearance before fitting.
- N350 platform compatibility: The N350DV, N350DW, and B519II(N350TW) variants share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol. All four OEM part numbers above cross to this cell — the suffix differences reflect minor PCB revisions, not electrical changes.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell on an N350DV chassis. The BMS handshook correctly on first insertion, charge current ramped normally from CC to CV phase, and the protection circuit tripped at the expected over-discharge threshold without requiring a manual reset.
- Post-install calibration on the N350 platform: After fitting, run the laptop on battery until it drops to hibernate-cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without interruption. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning the N350's firmware throws after every cell swap.
BIOS reporting battery health as poor immediately after fitting a new cell
The N350 platform stores charge history and wear data in EEPROM on the battery's PCB. When a new cell is installed, the BIOS reads that EEPROM as blank or mismatched and flags poor health — this is a firmware interpretation issue, not a defective battery. The fix is a full discharge-to-hibernate followed by a complete uninterrupted charge to 100%. After one or two of these learn cycles, the BIOS fuel gauge IC recalibrates against the new cell's actual chemistry and the warning clears.
Laptop shutting down abruptly at 20–30% charge shown on screen
This happens when the cell's voltage drops below the CPU-plus-display load threshold faster than the fuel gauge IC predicts — a voltage cliff that the old cell's calibration data can't map to a new cell. The OS percentage reading is based on a learned discharge curve that no longer matches the replacement cell. Run two full discharge-to-cutoff and uninterrupted full-charge cycles to force the fuel gauge IC to build a new curve against the actual cell. After calibration, shutdowns should stop occurring above 10–11V under load.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Clevo N350DV BIOS shows the new battery as "0% available (plugged in, charging)" and never moves — what's wrong?
The BIOS fuel gauge IC lost its reference point when the old cell was removed. It's reading EEPROM data that doesn't match the new cell's chemistry, so the percentage is stuck. Charge the laptop to 100% uninterrupted, then discharge fully to hibernate-cutoff — repeat this cycle twice. After two complete cycles the fuel gauge recalibrates and the percentage tracking normalises.
System information shows the battery's Wh rating as significantly lower than 57.72Wh — is the cell undersized?
No. The Wh figure shown in system info is pulled from the EEPROM on the battery PCB, and on first install that value may reflect a default rated figure rather than the measured capacity of the new cell. The actual usable energy is 57.72Wh as rated. Run one full discharge-to-hibernate followed by a complete charge to 100% — the BIOS recalculates and updates the reported Wh figure against the real cell data.
The N350DV stops charging at exactly 80% and refuses to go higher — is the replacement battery faulty?
This is almost always a BIOS-controlled charge limit, not a battery fault. Clevo's firmware on some N350 builds includes a battery health mode that caps charge at 80% to reduce cell stress — it applies to any cell fitted, new or old. Enter the BIOS setup (F2 at POST), navigate to the battery or power management section, and disable the charge limit or set it to 100%. The cell will then charge to full voltage — approximately 12.6V at termination.
