Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Hasee Z7-I7 8172 R2 / Z8-KL7S2 Series — 14.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery
This is a 14.8V, 4000mAh (59.2Wh) Li-ion replacement battery for the Hasee Z7-I7 8172 R2 and its sibling models including the Z8-KL7S2, Z7-KP7G1, and Z7M-KP5DC. It targets the original cell directly when the factory battery degrades, stops holding charge, or fails to register with the BIOS. Dimensions are 221.64 x 99.10 x 15.10mm — verify this against your bay before ordering.
- Z7 and Z8 series compatibility: These Hasee gaming notebook lines share the same 14.8V four-cell architecture and battery connector pinout. The BMS handshake protocol and charge controller expectations are consistent across the Z7 and Z8 variants listed, which is why a single cell covers the full range.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on compatible hardware, confirmed the BMS completed a full charge handshake without throwing a fault, and verified the protection circuit tripped correctly at the low-voltage cutoff threshold.
- First-cycle calibration on the Z7-I7: After installation, run the laptop on battery until it hibernates at low charge, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without using the machine. This forces the BIOS battery learn cycle to reset against the new cell chemistry and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every battery swap on this platform.
BIOS reporting poor battery health immediately after fitting a new cell
The Hasee Z7-I7 BIOS stores battery health data in EEPROM tied to the original cell's charge history. When a new cell is fitted, that stored data does not match the fresh cell, so the BIOS flags it as degraded before a single cycle has run. This is not a fault with the replacement cell — it is a mismatch between old EEPROM records and the new cell's actual state. Running one full discharge-to-hibernate followed by a complete uninterrupted charge clears this and lets the firmware re-learn against the new chemistry. After two to three full cycles the health indicator normalises.
Laptop shuts down hard at 20–30% charge shown on screen
This happens when the fuel gauge IC has not yet calibrated against the new cell's voltage curve. The old calibration data predicts 20–30% remaining but the actual cell voltage has already dropped below the CPU and display load threshold — the system cuts out to protect hardware. It is not a defective battery. Run two full discharge cycles to hibernate cutoff, charging fully between each — the fuel gauge IC re-maps the voltage-to-percentage curve against the new cell. After calibration, the gauge tracks accurately and the shutdowns stop.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why does my Hasee Z7-I7 show "0% available (plugged in, not charging)" right after I fitted the new battery?
The fuel gauge IC is reading EEPROM data from the old cell and cannot reconcile it with the new cell's voltage. The battery is charging — the gauge just has no valid reference point yet. Plug in and leave it to charge uninterrupted to 100% without powering on. After one full charge-to-discharge cycle the IC re-initialises and the percentage reads correctly.
The system info screen shows the wrong Wh rating — it says 47Wh but the replacement is 59.2Wh. Is the battery faulty?
The Wh value in system info is pulled from EEPROM data the BIOS cached from the original cell — it does not update automatically when a new cell is installed. The actual cell is 59.2Wh as specified. Run the BIOS battery learn cycle — one full discharge to hibernate, then a full uninterrupted charge — and the firmware will overwrite the cached value with the correct rating.
My Hasee Z7-I7 charge stops at 80% and refuses to go higher — is that a fault with the replacement cell?
This is a BIOS-controlled charge limit, not a cell fault. Hasee's firmware on several Z7 and Z8 models includes a battery conservation mode that caps charging at 80% to reduce cell stress during daily use. Check the Hasee Control Centre software or the BIOS power settings for a "battery threshold" or "conservation mode" toggle. Disable it and the battery will charge to 100%.
