Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Verizon SPro2 — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery
This is a 3.8V, 6200mAh Li-Polymer replacement battery for the Verizon SPro2 portable projector. It fits both "SPro2" and "S Pro 2" labelled units — same hardware, different packaging runs. Swap it in when the original cell no longer holds a charge through a full presentation.
- SPro2 platform fit: Both SPro2 variants use the same 3.8V single-cell Li-Polymer pack with an identical connector and BMS handshake. Voltage rail and cell format match — the projector's charge management circuit recognises this cell without a firmware flag.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through the SPro2's internal charger and confirmed the BMS accepted charge without triggering a fault state. Discharge monitoring showed the cell holds its voltage curve through the lamp's operating range.
- Lamp brightness setting on battery power: Set the SPro2 to eco or low-brightness mode when running on battery. Full brightness draws 30–40% more current from the cell than eco mode. In most indoor presentation environments, the difference in image quality is not visible, but the draw on the cell is significant.
Why the SPro2 lamp cuts out before the battery indicator reaches empty
The SPro2's lamp requires a higher minimum voltage than the battery cutoff threshold the indicator is calibrated against. As the cell discharges and voltage sags, the lamp circuit hits its floor first — the projector shuts down even though the gauge still shows charge remaining. This is not a fault with the battery or the projector. It is a consequence of the lamp's voltage floor sitting above the cell's nominal empty point. A fresh, full-capacity cell has a flatter discharge curve and holds voltage above that lamp floor for longer before the sag occurs.
SPro2 not charging — internal charger accepting no current
If the SPro2 shows no charging activity after a battery swap, the most common cause is a deeply discharged cell that has dropped below the BMS's recovery threshold. The internal charger expects the cell to present above roughly 3.0V before it begins a charge cycle. Connect the projector to mains and leave it for 15–20 minutes without powering it on — the BMS on some units will attempt a trickle pre-charge to recover the cell voltage above the threshold. If the charge indicator still does not activate after that window, verify the USB-C power source is delivering at least 9V DC to the projector's input port.

Frequently Asked Questions
My SPro2 keeps shutting off mid-presentation even though the battery indicator still shows charge — is the battery faulty?
The lamp circuit in the SPro2 needs a higher minimum voltage than the point at which the battery gauge reads empty. When the cell voltage sags under load, the lamp hits its floor first and the projector shuts off — even with bars still showing on the indicator. This is not a defective cell. Switch the projector to eco brightness mode, which lowers the current draw and keeps the cell voltage above the lamp's cutoff threshold for longer.
The SPro2 image looks noticeably dimmer on battery than when it's plugged into mains — is something wrong?
Nothing is wrong. The SPro2 reduces lamp power when running on battery to manage current draw from the cell. This is normal behaviour built into the projector's power management, not a symptom of a weak or underspec'd battery. If the reduction in brightness is a problem for your environment, plug into mains for full lamp output — battery mode is intentionally limited regardless of cell capacity.
My SPro2 battery drains much faster than it used to, even on a replacement cell — what's causing it?
The largest single factor affecting how long the cell lasts is the lamp brightness setting. Full brightness pulls 30–40% more current from a 3.8V Li-Polymer cell than eco mode. Check that the projector has not defaulted back to full brightness after a reset or firmware update. Set brightness to eco in the SPro2 display settings and confirm the draw drops — you should see a measurable improvement in how long the cell sustains the lamp before voltage sag triggers a shutdown.
