Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Rowenta RR7 Series — 14.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (RS-2230002091)
This 14.8V, 2600mAh lithium-ion battery replaces the original pack in the Rowenta RR7 robotic vacuum cleaner. It fits the RR7 series including RR7747WH4Q0 and RR7755WH4Q0 variants. OEM part numbers RS-2230002091 and 6.32.40.13-0 cross-reference directly to this cell configuration.
- RR7 series fitment: These models share the same 14.8V four-cell Li-ion architecture, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol — so one cell pack covers the full RR7 line without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this battery through charge and discharge cycles on the RR7 platform. The BMS correctly negotiated with the dock charger, accepted a full charge, and delivered stable voltage through motor start and navigation load transitions.
- Dock charging discipline on RR7: Do not leave the RR7 on the charging dock permanently. Continuous trickle charging accelerates capacity fade on this cell pack faster than on most cordless vacuums due to the dock's constant-contact charge circuit. Charge to full, then remove from dock.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low on the RR7
This is one of the most common symptoms with a degraded RR7 battery. As internal cell resistance rises with age, voltage sags under the motor load of a partially blocked filter or dense carpet pass — even when the battery gauge still reads mid-range. The motor controller interprets that voltage sag as a load problem and reduces fan speed to protect itself. Check the filter first, but if suction recovers on hard floors and not carpet, the cell pack is the cause.
Motor cuts out mid-cycle then recovers after a pause
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a motor fault. When suction is restricted — by a blocked filter, full dustbin, or brush roll tangle — the motor draws sustained current above the BMS threshold, and the pack shuts the output to protect the cells. The RR7 pauses, the BMS resets after a few seconds, and the robot restarts. Clean the filter and brush roll, then check that the dustbin is seated correctly. If trips continue on a clean machine, verify the replacement pack is reading at or above 14.4V resting voltage before reinstalling.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Rowenta RR7 loses suction halfway through a clean but the battery light still shows plenty of charge — is the battery dying?
Yes, this is how Li-ion cell degradation shows up in the RR7 before the gauge catches it. Rising internal resistance causes the pack voltage to sag under motor load, even when the state-of-charge indicator reads mid-range. The motor controller reduces fan speed in response to that voltage drop, cutting suction. Check the filter and dustbin first — if suction is normal on hard floors but drops on carpet, the cell pack is the issue and the gauge is no longer accurate.
The RR7 keeps stopping mid-run, sitting still for a few seconds, then carrying on — what's causing that?
That pause-and-resume pattern is a BMS overcurrent trip. When the motor is working against restricted airflow — a clogged filter, full dustbin, or tangled brush roll — current draw spikes past the pack's protection threshold and the BMS cuts the output. It resets automatically after a few seconds, which is why the robot resumes. Clean the filter and brush roll thoroughly; if trips still happen on a clean machine with this replacement pack, check resting voltage with a multimeter — it should sit above 14.4V before reinstalling.
I've had my Rowenta RR7 sitting on the dock between every clean for two years and the battery fades quickly — did I damage it?
Continuous dock contact is the primary cause of capacity fade on the RR7 pack. The dock's charge circuit maintains a trickle charge whenever the robot is seated, and that sustained low-level charge degrades Li-ion cells faster than normal cycle use. A replacement pack will restore capacity, but the same habit will degrade it again within a year. After each full charge cycle, lift the robot off the dock and store it on a shelf until the next clean.
