Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Tefal RG 7765 WH — 14.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (RS-2230002091)
This is a 14.8V, 2600mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Tefal RG 7765 WH cordless vacuum cleaner. It replaces OEM part RS-2230002091. Fits both RG 7765 WH and RG7765WH variants — same chassis, same connector.
- RG 7765 WH platform fit: The RG 7765 WH runs a 14.8V four-cell Li-ion pack with a specific BMS handshake that controls both charge acceptance and motor cutoff thresholds. This replacement matches that cell configuration and communicates correctly with the vacuum's onboard management circuit.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through charge and full motor load on the RG 7765 WH platform. The BMS held cutoff at the correct low-voltage threshold and the charge circuit accepted the pack without fault codes or charge rejection.
- Dock charging on the RG 7765 WH: Do not leave this vacuum sitting on the charging dock continuously between uses. The RG 7765 WH dock delivers a trickle current when the pack is full — sustained trickle charging accelerates capacity fade in Li-ion cells faster than normal cycling does. Charge to full, then remove from the dock.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator shows low on the RG 7765 WH
This is one of the most misread symptoms on stick vacuums. The battery indicator measures cell voltage at rest or under light load — it does not reflect what happens when the motor hits a restriction. A partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw more current than rated. That extra draw causes a voltage sag across the cells, and the BMS reads the sag as a low-battery condition and throttles motor output. Clean or replace the filter first before assuming the battery is at fault.
Motor cuts out mid-clean then recovers after a few seconds
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When suction is restricted — blocked filter, clogged brush roll, or tight carpet pile — the motor draws a sustained current spike above the BMS trip threshold. The BMS cuts power to protect the cells, then resets once current drops. The fix is mechanical, not electrical: clear the blockage, clean the filter, and check the brush roll for fibre wrap. If the motor still cuts out on an unobstructed clean, check that cell voltage under load stays above 13.2V.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Tefal RG 7765 WH has noticeably less suction than it used to even on a clean filter — is that battery fade?
It can be. As Li-ion cells age, they lose the ability to sustain voltage under motor load even if they still show a full charge at rest. A degraded pack sags below the motor's operating threshold faster than a fresh one, which the vacuum reads as reduced power rather than low battery. Fit the replacement pack and run it on the same surface — if suction recovers, the original cells had faded. If suction is still weak, check for a partial blockage in the wand or brush head before anything else.
The RG 7765 WH ran much longer per charge when it was new — what causes the runtime to shorten so quickly?
The most common cause is leaving the vacuum on the charging dock between every use. The RG 7765 WH dock keeps a trickle current flowing into a full pack, and sustained trickle charging degrades Li-ion cell capacity faster than normal charge-discharge cycling. The cells lose usable capacity gradually, so the drop feels slow at first and then sudden. With the replacement pack, charge to full, unplug from the dock, and only return it to charge when the battery is genuinely depleted.
The RG 7765 WH won't start at all after sitting unused for several months — is the battery recoverable?
Deep self-discharge is the likely cause. Li-ion cells stored at a low state of charge will drop below the BMS minimum threshold — typically around 2.5V per cell — and the BMS then blocks charge input as a protection measure. Put the vacuum on charge for at least 30 minutes before attempting to power it on; some chargers will apply a slow pre-charge current to bring the cells back above the BMS recovery threshold. If the charger shows no activity after 30 minutes, the cells have discharged too far to recover and the pack needs replacing — the RS-2230002091 replacement is the correct fit.
