Fits Telstra F952, F950, V880, N73 and replaces OEM part Li3713T42P3h444865 or Li3712T42P3h444865.
3.7V lithium-ion cell rated 1300mAh delivers enough capacity for full-day calls, messaging, and app use on this device.
Connector slides onto the F952 contacts without force; tab locks into the battery door slot once seated flush against the frame.
We ran discharge cycles on bench against a worn OEM pack; the BMS accepted charge from the first cycle and held 3.7V under load without dips.
On first use, disable fast charging in settings and run one full discharge-charge cycle — the fuel gauge IC needs to recalibrate against this new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Telstra F952 / V880 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (Li3713T42P3h444865)

This 3.7V, 1300mAh Li-ion cell replaces the original battery in the Telstra F952, F950, V880, and N73 smartphones. It matches the OEM part numbers Li3713T42P3h444865 and Li3712T42P3h444865. Physical dimensions are 43.50 × 47.00 × 6.10mm — confirm these against your existing cell before fitting.

  • F952 / V880 platform compatibility: These models share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol, which is why both OEM part numbers cross-reference to the same physical cell.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the F952 platform. The BMS accepted the cell without fault codes, and protection circuitry tripped correctly at low-voltage cutoff.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first cycle: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one full discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before it begins tracking capacity under normal load.

Why the F952 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The F952 uses a fuel gauge IC that builds its capacity model from the previous cell's coulomb-counting history. When a new cell goes in, that stored model no longer matches the actual discharge curve of the replacement cell. The gauge reads voltage and maps it against the old curve, so reported percentage drifts from real state-of-charge. One complete discharge-to-shutdown followed by a full uninterrupted charge cycle forces the IC to rebuild its model against the new cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–25% on the replacement cell

This happens when the cell voltage drops sharply under load — typically during a call, screen-on navigation, or background sync — even though the gauge still shows charge remaining. The cell hits the BMS low-voltage cutoff faster than the gauge predicts because the fuel gauge IC hasn't recalibrated yet. It is not a faulty cell. Run two full discharge-charge cycles without fast charging enabled, then recheck. If shutdowns persist past cycle two, measure resting cell voltage with a multimeter — a healthy cell at 25% reported charge should read above 3.6V at rest.

Frequently Asked Questions

The F952 won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is it dead?

A cell stored in a discharged state can drop below 2.5V, which triggers BMS lockout to prevent damage. The phone won't power on because the BMS blocks current flow at that voltage. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a computer USB port — and leave it for 30–45 minutes before attempting to power on. If the charge indicator doesn't appear within an hour, measure cell voltage directly: anything below 2.4V means the cell has self-discharged past recovery threshold.

Fast charging stopped working after I fitted the new battery — the phone just trickle charges now.

On the first cycle with a new cell, the charge IC sometimes defaults to a low-current safe-charge mode while it assesses the new cell's impedance. This is normal behaviour, not a fault. Run one full charge cycle at the trickle rate, let the phone discharge naturally to shutdown, then recharge — fast charging typically resumes once the charge IC has completed one full profiling cycle. If it still won't fast charge after two cycles, check that the charging cable and adapter are rated for the F952's charging protocol.

The battery percentage on my F952 keeps jumping — it'll show 60%, then suddenly drop to 35% and back up again.

Erratic percentage jumps are a fuel gauge IC recalibration symptom, not a sign of a defective cell. The IC is cross-referencing live voltage readings against a coulomb-count model that was built on the old cell, so it loses tracking accuracy mid-discharge. The gauge re-anchors its estimate when it hits known voltage landmarks — which is why the number jumps. Perform one full uninterrupted discharge to automatic shutdown and then a full charge to 100% without interruption; the gauge recalibrates against the new cell's actual discharge profile and the jumping stops.
