Fits Acer Iconia Talk S and A1-734 tablets, replacing OEM part numbers 141007, KT.0010N.001, and PR-3258C7G.
3.8V, 3300mAh lithium-polymer cell restores full charge capacity on tablets that no longer hold adequate power between charges.
Connector slides into the battery slot horizontally; locking tab seats flush when inserted fully and lies flat against the housing.
We tested the BMS on three full charge cycles; the fuel gauge IC accepted the new cell without cutoff errors during discharge.
After installation, run one full discharge to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this recalibrates the fuel gauge against the new cell and fixes inaccurate battery percentage display.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Acer Iconia Talk S / A1-734 — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (KT.0010N.001)

This 3.8V, 3300mAh lithium-polymer cell replaces the original battery in the Acer Iconia Talk S and A1-734 tablet. It matches OEM part numbers 141007, KT.0010N.001, and PR-3258C7G. Capacity figure is taken directly from product data at 12.54Wh.

  • Iconia Talk S and A1-734 fit: Both models share the same 3.8V single-cell architecture, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — one cell covers both variants without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the A1-734 platform. The BMS accepted the charge handshake on the first cycle and held voltage within spec under combined display and LTE load.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration after swap: After fitting this battery, run one full discharge to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This resets the fuel gauge IC against the new cell's characteristics and clears the inaccurate percentage readings that commonly appear after a battery replacement.

Tablet shutting down at 15–25% remaining after battery swap

This happens when the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve. When the display and Wi-Fi or LTE run together, current draw spikes and the cell voltage drops sharply — the gauge reads this as a hard cutoff even though capacity remains. The fix is a single full discharge-to-shutoff cycle followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100%. After that cycle, the gauge re-maps to the new cell and the early shutoff stops.

Fast charging not available after fitting a new battery

The Iconia Talk S charge IC uses a handshake with the battery's BMS before it steps up to higher charge rates. On a fresh cell, that negotiation sometimes fails on the first attempt because the BMS hasn't completed an accepted cycle yet. Plug in using the original Acer adapter, let the first charge complete fully without interruption, then disconnect and reconnect. The charge IC renegotiates on the second session and fast charge becomes available at that point.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Acer Iconia Talk S shows a completely different battery percentage after I put the new battery in — sometimes jumping from 60% to 20% in minutes. What's going on?

The fuel gauge IC inside the tablet was calibrated to the discharge curve of your old, degraded cell. With a new cell installed, those stored reference points no longer match actual voltage, so the percentage reading drifts or jumps. Run one complete discharge to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without using the tablet. After that single cycle the gauge re-maps itself to the new cell and the readings stabilise.

The tablet feels noticeably warm near the charging port while the new battery charges — is the cell faulty?

It's not a fault. The charge IC on the Iconia Talk S runs a conditioning pass on an unfamiliar cell during the first few cycles, which draws slightly more current than steady-state charging. That generates mild heat at the board level near the port, not at the battery itself. If the tablet becomes hot to the touch on the back panel or throttles the display, that's a different issue — but gentle warmth at the port during the first two charges is normal and stops once the cell is broken in.

The battery percentage on my A1-734 drops fast from 100% down to about 80%, then slows right down. Is the capacity actually 3300mAh?

Yes, the cell is 3300mAh. What you're seeing is fuel gauge drift — the IC has an old discharge profile stored and over-reports the initial drop before self-correcting mid-cycle. This is almost always resolved by the same recalibration step: discharge the tablet fully until it powers off on its own, then charge it in one uninterrupted session to 100%. Check the percentage curve after that cycle — it should track evenly from full to empty.
