Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Acer S10 / S50 / S60 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (23.20059011)

This is a 3.7V, 1050mAh Li-ion battery for the Acer S10, S50, and S60 handheld PDAs. It matches OEM part number 23.20059011 and fits the same physical bay across all three models. Voltage and capacity figures come from the product data — 3.89Wh total energy.

  • S10, S50, and S60 share this cell: All three models run the same 3.7V battery rail, use the same connector pinout, and accept the same BMS handshake. A battery pulled from an S50 slots directly into an S10 — the BMS does not differentiate between models at the hardware level.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a PDA test rig. The BMS held cutoff voltage correctly at the low end and accepted a full charge without fault flags. Capacity measured within expected tolerance of the 1050mAh rating.
  • Sync before you swap: PDA devices store open files and application state in RAM powered directly by the main battery. Removing the cell without first syncing to a host computer will wipe any unsaved data. Run a full ActiveSync or Windows Mobile Device Center sync before pulling the battery.

Why the Acer S10 loses data every time the battery is removed

The S10 uses SRAM for active storage — it holds the current application state, open files, and user session data. SRAM is volatile: it needs continuous power to retain data. The moment the battery is disconnected, that RAM is wiped. There is no flash backup for in-session data unless the device was synced or the user manually saved. This is not a fault — it is how the platform was built.

Acer S60 not booting after new battery installed

A fresh cell shipped in storage mode may sit below the minimum boot voltage — typically under 3.4V — which prevents the S60 from completing its POST sequence. The device will appear dead even though the battery and hardware are both fine. Connect the device to its charger for at least 20–30 minutes before attempting a first boot. Once the cell reads above 3.6V, the boot sequence will complete normally.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Acer S50 wiped all my contacts and calendar after I swapped the battery — why did this happen?

The S50 stores contacts, calendar entries, and open application data in SRAM, which loses its contents the instant main power is removed. There is no secondary power cell on this platform to hold RAM while the battery is out. Any data not synced to a host PC before the swap is gone. Run a full sync via ActiveSync or Windows Mobile Device Center before every battery removal.

The wireless sync on my Acer S60 keeps dropping or running slowly after fitting the new battery — what's going on?

The S60's radio draws significantly more current than the standby baseline, and if the new battery shipped in a low-charge state, voltage sag under radio load can cause the connection to drop or throttle. This is not a pairing or software fault — it is a voltage issue. Charge the battery fully before attempting a wireless sync. If the problem clears after a full charge cycle, the cell was simply too low on arrival.

My Acer S10 screen stays blank after I installed the replacement battery — the device won't respond at all

A cell delivered in storage mode can sit below the S10's minimum boot threshold, usually under 3.4V, which causes the device to appear completely dead. Connect it to the original charger and leave it for at least 20–30 minutes without pressing any buttons. Check that the battery contacts are clean and seated flat — even slight misalignment on the S10 bay breaks the circuit. After charging, hold the power button for a full 5 seconds to trigger a cold boot.
