Fits AEG 900273786, AG3101, and related cordless stick vacuums; replaces OEM 10.8V battery pack.
10.8V and 2500mAh capacity maintain motor voltage under heavy carpet load and sustained suction demand.
Connector slides straight into dock with vertical locking tab; orientation marked on pack housing.
We bench-tested this cell on an AEG platform—BMS accepted charge without fault codes and held steady voltage under motor current draw.
Remove from charging dock immediately after reaching full charge; continuous dock charging degrades capacity faster than charge-then-disconnect cycles.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

AEG 900273786 / AG3101 Series — 10.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This 10.8V 2500mAh Li-ion battery replaces the original pack in AEG cordless stick and handheld vacuums, including the 900273786, AG3101, 900273793, and 900273794 models. When the original cell degrades after repeated charge cycles, suction drops and run time shrinks — this pack restores the voltage rail the motor needs. Capacity is 2500mAh (27Wh), matching OEM specification.

  • AG3101 and 900273786 platform compatibility: These models share the same 10.8V battery housing, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. Swapping between them does not require adapter leads or firmware changes — the charger reads the replacement pack the same way it reads the original.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through charge and discharge cycles on the AG3101 platform. The BMS held the low-voltage cutoff cleanly at the correct threshold and did not trigger false overcurrent trips during motor start-up surges.
  • Dock charging habit for this platform: Do not leave the vacuum on the charging dock permanently. AEG cordless vacuums on continuous dock charge develop capacity fade significantly faster than units charged only when depleted. Charge to full, then remove from the dock.

Cordless vacuum losing suction before the battery indicator reaches low

This happens when a partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw more current than its rated load. The BMS reads the elevated draw as a voltage sag and begins throttling output — even though the battery still holds charge. The vacuum loses suction well before the indicator light signals low battery. Clear the filter first, then retest; if suction recovers, the battery was not the fault.

Motor cuts out mid-clean and then recovers after a few seconds

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When suction is restricted — blocked filter, clogged nozzle, or carpet pile jamming the brush — the motor pulls a sustained high current and the BMS cuts power to protect the cells. After a few seconds the BMS resets and power returns. Check and clear any airflow restriction, then run the vacuum again. If trips continue with a clear filter, measure resting pack voltage — it should read at or above 11.1V when fully charged.

Frequently Asked Questions

My AEG stick vacuum used to clean the whole house on one charge — now it barely does two rooms. The battery indicator still shows full at the start. What's happening?

Capacity fade from continuous dock charging is the most common cause on this platform. Leaving the vacuum plugged into the dock after every use applies a slow trickle charge that degrades the cells over hundreds of cycles. The indicator reads "full" because the BMS reports voltage, not true capacity. Charge the replacement pack only when depleted, remove it from the dock when full, and the usable charge per cycle will stabilise.

The vacuum cuts out suddenly on thick carpet, waits a few seconds, then works again — is the battery faulty?

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a cell failure. Thick carpet increases motor load; if the filter is even partially blocked at the same time, current draw spikes past the BMS threshold and it shuts output down to protect the cells. Remove and clean the filter, then test again on the same carpet. If trips stop, the battery was reacting correctly to a restricted airflow problem — not failing.

I fitted the replacement battery but the charger light just blinks and never goes to solid — it won't charge.

The AEG charger on this platform expects a specific BMS handshake before it begins a full charge cycle. A blinking light usually means the charger detected a deeply discharged cell and is running a pre-charge conditioning phase first. Leave it connected for 20–30 minutes without interrupting the cycle. If the light still does not progress to solid after that window, check that the pack voltage at the connector reads above 8V with a multimeter — below that threshold the charger may refuse to engage the main charge stage.
