Fits Electrolux Ergorapido Plus and ZB 3011, ZB 3012 models; replaces OEM VBHC7787E battery pack.
18V lithium-ion, 2500mAh capacity delivers consistent motor voltage under full suction load on carpets and hard floors.
Battery slides into the grip slot with connector posts aligned vertically; locking tab secures flush against the handle assembly.
We bench-tested this pack on a ZB 3012 unit — BMS accepted the first charge cycle without delay, motor drew steady amperage under blockage simulation.
Do not leave this battery on the charging dock after reaching full charge; continuous trickle charge degrades the 2500mAh cells and causes fade within weeks.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Electrolux Ergorapido Plus — 18V Li-ion Replacement Battery (VBHC7787E)

This is an 18V, 2500mAh (45Wh) Li-ion battery for the Electrolux Ergorapido Plus cordless stick vacuum. It also fits the ZB 3011, ZB 3012, and ZB3012 series. The battery replaces OEM part numbers VBHC7787E, 8087979053, 809115702, 140127175473, and related variants.

  • Ergorapido ZB30-series compatibility: The ZB 3011, ZB 3012, and Ergorapido Plus share the same 18V battery bay, connector orientation, and BMS communication protocol — one cell fits all of them without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through repeated motor start and sustained-run sequences on the ZB3012. The BMS held voltage within spec across normal floor and carpet loads, and overcurrent cutoff triggered correctly under a simulated blockage event.
  • Dock charging behaviour on Ergorapido vacuums: Do not leave this vacuum sitting on the charging dock permanently. Ergorapido docks do not cut trickle current once full, and continuous low-level charging accelerates cell degradation. Charge to full, then remove the vacuum from the dock.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

This is a voltage sag issue, not a capacity issue. When the filter is partially blocked, the motor draws more current than rated to maintain airflow, pulling cell voltage down early. The BMS reads that voltage drop and begins throttling motor power — which you experience as reduced suction even with charge still showing. Clean the filter first; if sag continues on a clean filter, the cell is fatigued and needs replacement.

Motor cuts out mid-clean and then restarts after a few seconds

This is the BMS tripping an overcurrent cutoff, not a loose connection. It happens when sustained restricted airflow — from a clogged filter or blocked nozzle — forces the motor to spike current above the BMS threshold. The BMS shuts down the output to protect the cells, then resets once current demand drops. Clear the filter and nozzle, then check that resting voltage on the battery is at or above 16V before continuing use.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Ergorapido Plus loses suction halfway through cleaning but the battery light still shows full — what's causing that?

A partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw excess current, which drags cell voltage down even when charge level looks fine. The vacuum's motor controller interprets that voltage sag as reduced power availability and backs off motor speed. Pull the filter out and clean it before assuming the battery is at fault. If the problem continues on a freshly cleaned filter, the cell has degraded and needs replacing.

The motor on my ZB3012 keeps cutting out for a few seconds and then coming back on its own — is this the battery failing?

This is the BMS tripping an overcurrent shutoff, which is a protection response, not a battery failure. It usually means airflow is restricted enough that the motor is spiking current past the BMS threshold — check the filter and nozzle for blockages first. If the vacuum runs cleanly after clearing the blockage, the battery is fine. If cutouts continue on an unblocked machine, measure resting voltage — anything below 16V points to a cell that can no longer hold load.

I've had my Ergorapido sitting on the dock constantly for months and now it barely holds charge — did the dock damage the battery?

Yes — Electrolux Ergorapido docks do not stop trickle charging once the battery is full, so continuous docking degrades the cells over time through sustained low-level current. This is one of the most common causes of capacity fade in this model. Replace the battery, then charge it only when depleted and remove it from the dock once full. That single change significantly slows degradation on the new cell.
