Fits Aisino A90 payment terminal; replaces OEM part number HBT-01.
3.8V 6000mAh lithium-ion cell delivers the charge capacity required for full-shift transaction cycles on the A90 without mid-day recharge.
Connector seats flush into the A90 battery slot with a single locking tab on the right side; orientation is keyed and cannot be reversed.
We bench-tested this cell in an A90 unit across 40 consecutive transactions; BMS accepted the handshake on the second boot cycle with no fault codes.
After installation, run one complete transaction cycle before deploying in a live environment — the terminal calibrates the charge indicator during normal operation and requires at least one full power cycle to map battery capacity correctly.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Aisino A90 — 3.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (HBT-01)

This is a 3.8V 6000mAh Li-ion battery for the Aisino A90 payment terminal. It replaces OEM part HBT-01 and fits the A90 portable POS unit used in retail and hospitality environments. The 22.8Wh cell capacity matches the original specification.

  • A90 terminal fit: The A90 uses a BMS handshake that authenticates cell voltage and thermistor response before allowing full charge. This battery passes that handshake — the terminal recognises it and begins a normal charge cycle without throwing a battery fault code.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through printer motor triggers and wireless transaction loads. The BMS handled the combined draw without tripping overcurrent protection. Charge IC behaviour on first cycle matched OEM cell patterns.
  • First deployment tip: After fitting, complete one full transaction cycle — including a receipt print — before using the terminal in a live environment. The A90 maps battery capacity during normal operation and needs at least one complete power cycle to calibrate the charge indicator accurately.

Receipt printer causing voltage sag on the A90

The A90's thermal receipt printer pulls a short high-current burst when the motor engages. On a degraded original battery, this spike can drop cell voltage enough to trip the BMS undervoltage cutoff. A fresh 6000mAh cell handles this surge with far more headroom. If the terminal cuts out specifically at the moment of printing, the battery is the first component to check — not the printer hardware itself.

A90 not powering on after sitting unused in storage

Li-ion cells self-discharge during storage. If the A90 has been unused for several months, the cell voltage may have dropped below the BMS recovery threshold — typically around 2.5V per cell — and the terminal will show no response at all. Connect the terminal to the charger for at least 15 minutes before attempting to power on. If the charge LED does not illuminate within that window, the original battery has likely dropped below the recovery floor and needs replacement.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Aisino A90 reboots every time a receipt prints — is that the battery?

Yes, and it is a known failure pattern on the A90. The thermal printer motor pulls a high-current spike at the moment of engagement, and a degraded battery cannot hold voltage through that draw — the BMS trips and the terminal restarts. A fresh 6000mAh cell provides enough capacity headroom to absorb that spike cleanly. Fit the new battery, run a test transaction with a receipt print, and confirm the terminal stays on through the full print cycle.

The A90 charge indicator is stuck at 99% and won't move to 100% — did I get a faulty battery?

This is normal on a new cell. The A90's charge IC enters a top-off mode near full capacity, applying a low trickle current to safely bring the cell to exactly 4.2V. That phase takes longer than the bulk charge stage and the indicator can appear frozen. Leave the terminal on charge without interruption for a full charge cycle. Once the charge IC completes top-off, the indicator will update to 100% and the charger will switch to standby.

My A90 was stored for four months and now won't turn on at all — is it the battery or the terminal?

Almost certainly the battery. Li-ion cells self-discharge over time, and after four months without a charge the cell voltage may have dropped below the BMS recovery threshold — at that point the terminal shows no response because the BMS blocks output entirely. Connect the A90 to its charger and leave it for 15 to 20 minutes before pressing the power button. If the charge LED does not light within that window, the cell is below the recovery floor and the battery needs to be replaced.
