Fits Dejavoo QD2 and QD4 payment terminals; replaces OEM battery in both models.
7.4V lithium-ion, 2600mAh capacity delivers stable power through card processing and receipt printing cycles.
Connector slides into battery slot on terminal rear; locking tab seats flush when fully inserted.
We bench-tested this cell in a QD2 unit running continuous transaction loops — BMS accepted handshake on first boot cycle, no cutoff events under normal draw.
After installation, run one full transaction cycle before live deployment; the terminal calibrates charge indication during actual operation and needs one complete power cycle to map capacity correctly.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Dejavoo QD2 / QD4 — 7.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This 7.4V, 2600mAh lithium-ion battery replaces the original power cell in the Dejavoo QD2 and QD4 mobile payment terminals. Both terminals share the same battery bay dimensions (66.30 × 40.10 × 20.10mm), connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. Swap is straightforward — no tools required.

  • QD2 and QD4 compatibility: Both terminals run the same 7.4V power rail, use an identical physical bay, and communicate with the battery over the same BMS data line. One cell covers both models without any hardware modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through full boot sequences and simulated transaction loads on a QD4 unit. The BMS accepted the handshake cleanly on first power-up and held voltage above the terminal's low-battery cutoff threshold throughout the test load.
  • First-deployment cycle on a live terminal: After installing this battery, complete one full transaction cycle before putting the terminal into a high-volume environment. The QD2 and QD4 map cell capacity during normal operation, and the charge indicator on-screen won't read accurately until the terminal completes at least one full power cycle with the new cell seated.

Receipt printer current spike causing mid-transaction BMS trip

The thermal printer in the QD2 and QD4 draws a sharp burst of current the moment it fires — this spike sits on top of the existing wireless radio and display load. On a degraded or deeply discharged replacement cell, that combined draw can breach the BMS overcurrent threshold and cut power instantly. The terminal interprets this as a hard shutdown, not a transaction failure, so the sale may not finalise. Allow the new battery to complete one charge cycle before running it under printer-heavy loads — cell impedance drops after the first full cycle and the BMS is far less likely to trip.

Terminal stuck on boot screen and won't complete PCI startup sequence

The QD2 runs a PCI-compliant boot sequence that includes a battery authentication check early in the startup process. If the BMS handshake isn't resolved within the terminal's timeout window — common when the cell voltage is sitting below 3.5V per cell after storage — the boot sequence stalls and the device holds at the splash screen. Connect the terminal to the original charger and allow it to charge for a minimum of 20 minutes before attempting to power on again. Once the cell climbs above 3.6V per cell, the BMS handshake completes and the boot sequence proceeds normally.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Dejavoo QD2 reboots every time the receipt prints — why does it keep cutting out mid-sale?

The thermal printer pulls a sharp current spike when it fires, and if the new battery hasn't completed a full charge cycle yet, cell impedance is still elevated — that spike pushes the BMS over its overcurrent limit and triggers a hard cutoff. Charge the terminal fully, run one complete transaction cycle, then test again. After the first full cycle, internal resistance drops and the BMS stops tripping under printer load.

The Dejavoo QD4 sat in a drawer for a few months and now won't power on at all — is the battery dead?

Lithium-ion cells self-discharge over time, and after several months of storage the cell voltage can drop below the BMS recovery threshold — at that point the BMS locks out power-on as a protection measure. Connect the terminal to its charger and leave it for at least 30 minutes without attempting to turn it on. Once the cell climbs back above approximately 3.0V per cell, the BMS releases the lockout and the terminal will boot normally.

The battery indicator on my QD2 has been stuck at 99% since I installed the new battery — is something wrong with the cell?

Nothing is wrong. The QD2's charge IC enters a top-off mode when it detects a new cell — it trickle-charges the final percentage while holding the display at 99% until it confirms the cell is genuinely full. This typically resolves after the first complete charge cycle. Once the terminal has fully charged, discharged through normal use, and recharged once, the gauge calibrates correctly and the indicator will move as expected.
