Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Alcatel A3 Plus / 5011A — 3.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (TLI025B7)
This is a 3.8V, 2200mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Alcatel A3 Plus and 5011A smartphones. It slots into the same battery bay as the original TLI025B7 and connects via the stock flex connector. Swap it in when the original cell no longer holds charge through a normal day of use.
- A3 Plus and 5011A compatibility: Both the A3 Plus and 5011A run on the same 3.8V power rail, use an identical connector pinout, and share the TLI025B7 BMS handshake. One cell covers both variants without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on an A3 Plus unit. The BMS accepted charge on the first connection, protection thresholds triggered correctly at the low-voltage cutoff, and the charge IC registered a full cycle without error flags.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle before returning to your normal charging habits. This gives the fuel gauge IC time to map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes into an uncalibrated state.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell
This happens because the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's voltage curve. When the modem fires up or the screen brightness peaks, the new cell's voltage dips sharply — faster than the old curve predicts — and the phone reads it as a critical low-voltage event. The device shuts down even though the reported percentage looks safe. One full discharge cycle, draining to the automatic cutoff and then charging to 100% without interruption, resets the coulomb counter against the new cell and clears the shutdown behaviour.
Phone warm near the battery on the first few charges
A fresh cell has slightly higher internal impedance than a broken-in one. During the first few charge cycles, the charge IC pushes current into that higher-impedance cell, and the extra resistance converts some energy to heat. This is normal and tapers off after three to five full cycles as the cell's impedance settles. If the warmth continues beyond five cycles or concentrates near the USB port rather than the battery bay, check the charge cable and port for debris first — a dirty connector raises contact resistance and keeps the charge IC working harder than it should.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Alcatel A3 Plus won't turn on at all after sitting in a drawer for months — is the battery dead?
Likely not dead, but the BMS has locked out because the cell voltage dropped below 2.5V during storage. At that level the protection circuit cuts all output to prevent damage. Plug the phone into a wall charger — not a laptop USB port — and leave it for 20 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC needs that time to push enough current in to bring the cell above the BMS re-enable threshold, at which point the phone will boot normally.
The battery percentage on my A3 Plus jumps around erratically after fitting the new TLI025B7 — it went from 60% to 85% without charging.
The fuel gauge IC is still running the discharge model it built against the old cell. When it reads a voltage point that doesn't match its stored curve, it recalculates state-of-charge and the percentage jumps. Run one uninterrupted full discharge — let the phone shut itself off — then charge straight to 100% without unplugging early. The coulomb counter rewrites its calibration data against the new cell curve, and erratic jumps stop after that cycle.
Fast charging stopped working on my A3 Plus after I replaced the battery — it only trickle charges now.
On the first cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC sometimes defaults to a low-current safe-charge mode because it hasn't confirmed the new cell's full-charge voltage profile yet. Use the original Alcatel wall adapter — third-party chargers don't always assert the correct handshake voltage to unlock higher charge rates. Complete one full charge on trickle, then disconnect and reconnect with the original adapter. The charge IC should recognise the completed cycle and re-enable the higher current rate from that point forward.
