Fits Alcatel EE120 hotspot and replaces OEM part TLi043C7 battery.
3.8V and 4300mAh capacity restores full runtime on this portable WiFi device.
Connector slides straight in with no locking tab — orientation is keyed.
Bench testing showed clean voltage curve under combined WiFi and cellular load.
If the hotspot disconnects users mid-session on this new battery, check that the device sits in open air during extended use — cellular radio at full power generates significant heat that stresses the pack.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Alcatel EE120 — 3.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (TLi043C7)

This 3.8V 4300mAh Li-ion battery replaces the TLi043C7 cell in the Alcatel EE120 portable WiFi hotspot. It fits the EE120 directly and restores full capacity when the original cell has degraded. Voltage and physical dimensions match the OEM spec: 56.72 × 52.56 × 11.60mm.

  • EE120 hotspot fit: The EE120 uses a single-cell 3.8V Li-ion pack with a dedicated BMS that monitors cell voltage and current draw across both the cellular modem and the WiFi radio simultaneously. Any replacement must meet the same voltage rail and connector pinout — this cell does.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery under combined modem and WiFi load — eight connected clients, cellular active — and confirmed the BMS held stable voltage without triggering a low-voltage cutoff or a false thermal shutdown.
  • Ventilation during extended sessions: Keep the EE120 in an open, ventilated spot when running for long periods. When connected devices are far from the hotspot, the cellular radio runs at full transmit power — the extra heat directly accelerates cell degradation over time.

Why the EE120 drops all connected devices mid-session

When the EE120 serves multiple clients at once, the modem and WiFi radio pull current at the same time. If the battery's internal resistance has risen — common in aged cells — voltage sags briefly under that combined draw. The BMS reads this sag as an under-voltage event and cuts output to protect the cell, dropping every connected device instantly. A fresh cell with lower internal resistance keeps voltage above the BMS cutoff threshold even at peak load.

EE120 shows battery icon but won't complete boot after sitting unused

If the EE120 has been stored for weeks with a depleted battery, the cell voltage can drop below the minimum boot threshold — typically around 3.0V for this chemistry. The device may show the battery indicator briefly then shut off before the OS loads. Connect the hotspot to a charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes before attempting to power on; the charger circuit needs to bring the cell above 3.2V before the BMS will allow a full boot sequence to proceed.

Frequently Asked Questions

My EE120 hotspot keeps kicking everyone off WiFi even though the battery shows half charge — what's happening?

A half-charge reading doesn't reflect internal resistance, which rises as Li-ion cells age. Under the combined draw of the cellular modem and multiple WiFi clients, a high-resistance cell sags in voltage even from 50% state of charge, tripping the BMS cutoff and dropping all connections. The battery gauge recovers quickly after the load drops, which makes it look like a software fault rather than a battery fault. Replacing the cell eliminates the voltage sag at the source.

The EE120 battery drains noticeably faster when I'm in a weak signal area — is that normal?

Yes, and it's significant. The cellular modem scales transmit power up to maximum when signal is poor, which is the single largest current draw in the device. Add multiple connected clients on top and total draw can run two to three times higher than in a strong-signal environment. Positioning the EE120 near a window or closer to a cell tower reduces transmit power and extends each charge cycle measurably.

The EE120 won't turn on after I left it in a drawer for two months — the battery is dead but will it recover?

Extended storage drains Li-ion cells well below safe operating voltage, and the BMS will block power-on to prevent damage to a deeply discharged cell. Plug the EE120 into a charger and leave it connected for at least 30 minutes without pressing the power button — the charger circuit will trickle current into the cell until it reaches approximately 3.2V, at which point the BMS re-enables normal operation. If the charge LED never activates after 45 minutes, the original cell has likely failed permanently and this replacement battery resolves that.
