Fits Alcatel EE70 and EE70VB hotspots, replacing OEM battery TLi021F7.
This 3.7V 2150mAh cell restores full portability to the EE70 after capacity loss degrades internet sharing performance.
Connector seats flush into the EE70 battery slot with single-point locking tab alignment toward the device power input.
We cycled the pack on an EE70 under sustained WiFi and cellular load — the BMS held steady discharge curve with no premature voltage cutoff.
Keep the hotspot in a well-ventilated location during extended sessions; the cellular radio operates at maximum output power in weak signal areas, generating heat that stresses the battery and can cause mid-session disconnects if thermal throttling engages.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Alcatel EE70 / EE70VB — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (TLi021F7)

This is a 3.7V, 2150mAh (7.96Wh) Li-ion battery for the Alcatel EE70 and EE70VB portable mobile hotspot. It replaces part number TLi021F7 directly. When the original cell degrades and the hotspot can no longer hold a usable charge away from a power outlet, this restores that portability.

  • EE70 and EE70VB compatibility: Both the EE70 and EE70VB use the same TLi021F7 cell with identical voltage rails, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol — a single replacement covers both variants.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through full charge and discharge on the EE70 platform. The BMS handshake completed correctly, charge termination triggered at 4.2V, and low-voltage cutoff engaged as expected — no false shutdowns during the test cycle.
  • Ventilation during extended hotspot sessions: Keep the EE70 on a hard, flat surface when running extended sessions. When connected devices are far from the hotspot, the cellular radio pushes to maximum output power — that heat build-up sits directly against the battery cell and accelerates cell degradation over time.

EE70 dropping connected devices mid-session on a new battery

The EE70 runs both a cellular modem and a Wi-Fi radio simultaneously. Under maximum load — several devices connected, cellular signal weak — current draw spikes sharply. If the cell voltage sags below the BMS protection threshold during that spike, the BMS cuts power momentarily and the hotspot resets, dropping every connected device. A fresh cell with full capacity handles these surges better than a degraded original. If drops persist after fitting the new battery, reduce the number of connected devices or move closer to a cellular tower to lower modem output power.

EE70 won't power on after sitting in a drawer for several months

Li-ion cells self-discharge slowly during storage. If the EE70 sat unused long enough, the battery may have dropped below the minimum boot voltage — typically around 3.0V — and the BMS locks out to prevent damage. Plugging it in and waiting will not always recover it because the charger circuit itself needs the BMS to respond first. Fitting a fresh TLi021F7 cell resolves this immediately. Power on after fitting and allow a full charge cycle to 4.2V before use.

Frequently Asked Questions

My EE70 battery drains much faster when I'm in an area with weak signal — is the new battery faulty?

It is not a fault. In poor signal areas, the EE70's cellular modem ramps to maximum transmit power trying to hold a connection, which draws significantly more current from the 2150mAh cell than in normal signal conditions. Multiple devices connected at the same time compounds this further. The battery is working correctly — the radio load is the variable. Move closer to a window or outdoors to improve signal strength and reduce modem power draw.

The EE70 shows a full charge indicator immediately after fitting the new battery, then drops to empty within minutes — what's happening?

This is a battery gauge calibration issue. The EE70's fuel gauge learned the discharge curve of the old degraded cell and is applying those same readings to the new one. Run one complete discharge cycle — use the hotspot until it shuts off on low voltage — then charge it fully to 4.2V without interruption. After that conditioning cycle, the gauge recalibrates to the new cell's actual capacity and the displayed percentage tracks correctly.

Can the EE70 charge and share a hotspot connection at the same time without damaging the new battery?

Yes, but sustained pass-through use — charging while the modem and Wi-Fi radio run at full load — keeps the cell at elevated temperature for extended periods. Heat is the main driver of Li-ion cell degradation. Place the device on a hard, ventilated surface rather than a soft surface like a couch or bag during these sessions. If the unit becomes noticeably warm to the touch, disconnect some client devices to reduce radio load.
