Fits Aligator A300 smartphone; direct OEM replacement for original 3.7V cell.
3.7V, 1050mAh capacity restores full call and messaging runtime on aged devices.
Connector mates flush to A300 battery slot; no modification to device housing needed.
We bench-tested this cell on A300 hardware; BMS accepted charge at rated 3.7V without fault codes.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle — this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve before high-current charging.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Aligator A300 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 3.7V, 1050mAh Li-ion cell for the Aligator A300 basic mobile phone. It replaces the original battery when capacity has faded to the point where the phone shuts down early or won't hold a usable charge. Dimensions are 55.42 × 35.01 × 5.41mm — measure your existing cell before ordering if you are unsure.

  • A300 cell compatibility: The A300 runs a low-draw circuit with a simple charge IC. This cell matches the original 3.7V nominal voltage rail and physical footprint, so the battery connector seats without force and the charge IC sees the correct cell impedance on first contact.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a A300-class load profile. The BMS held cutoff correctly at the low-voltage threshold and did not trip during screen-on or call modem bursts.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first install: On first use after installation, disable any fast-charge mode and run one full discharge-to-charge cycle before normal use. This lets the phone's fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve accurately — skipping this step causes the percentage counter to jump or read incorrectly for several days.

Why the A300 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The A300's fuel gauge IC stores a learned discharge curve from the original cell. When a new cell goes in, that stored curve no longer matches the new cell's actual voltage-to-capacity profile. The IC keeps reading percentage against old data, so the display shows incorrect numbers. One full discharge cycle — from 100% to automatic shutdown — forces the IC to rewrite its calibration table against the new cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the A300 after replacement

This usually means the fuel gauge IC has not yet recalibrated to the new cell's voltage cliff. Li-ion cells drop voltage sharply below a certain state of charge, and the A300's modem load can pull the cell voltage below the BMS cutoff threshold faster than the display percentage suggests. The phone cuts power before the reported percentage reaches zero. Run two full discharge-charge cycles and the shutdowns typically stop — the IC recalibrates its low-voltage warning point to match the new cell curve.

Frequently Asked Questions

The A300 won't turn on at all after I put in the replacement battery — what's wrong?

If the replacement cell sat in storage for an extended period, its voltage may have dropped below 2.5V, triggering BMS lockout. Connect the phone to a wall charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button — the charge IC trickle-charges the cell back above the BMS recovery threshold before normal charging begins. If the charging indicator light then appears, the cell is recovering. If nothing happens after 45 minutes on charge, check that the battery connector is fully seated flat against the board.

The A300 feels warm near the battery compartment during the first few charges — is that normal?

A new Li-ion cell has slightly higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell, so the charge IC dissipates more energy as heat during the first few cycles. This is normal and reduces after two or three full charge cycles as the cell's impedance drops toward its rated value. If the phone becomes hot enough to be uncomfortable to hold, disconnect it immediately and check that the cell is seated correctly with no pinched connector. Mild warmth — not uncomfortable heat — is expected and self-corrects.

Battery percentage jumps around erratically on the A300 after fitting this battery — how do I fix it?

The coulomb counter in the A300's fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the discharge curve of the old, degraded cell. It has no accurate reference point for the new cell yet, so percentage readings can jump 5–15% in either direction as the IC tries to reconcile measured voltage with its stored capacity table. Drain the phone completely until it shuts off automatically, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without unplugging early. Repeat this once more and the fuel gauge IC will have enough data to recalibrate — erratic readings should stabilise to within 2–3%.
