Fits Capitel CBS718 and S718 smartphones, replacing the original 3.7V lithium-ion cell.
3.7V at 1050mAh delivers 3.89Wh — sufficient for full-day operation on this single-cell platform.
Connector slides straight into the factory slot with standard tab lock; no adapter needed.
We bench-tested this cell on CBS718 hardware — BMS accepted the new pack without fault codes on first insertion.
On first charge after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle so the fuel gauge IC recalibrates against the new cell discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Capitel CBS718 / S718 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 3.7V 1050mAh (3.89Wh) Li-ion cell for the Capitel CBS718 and S718 smartphones. It replaces the original battery when the phone no longer holds charge or shuts down unexpectedly. Dimensions are 55.42 × 35.01 × 5.41mm — measure your original before fitting if you are unsure.

  • CBS718 and S718 compatibility: Both models run the same 3.7V battery bay and share connector placement, so one cell covers both. The BMS handshake requirements are identical across the two variants.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge and discharge cycles on compatible hardware. The BMS accepted charge at the correct CV/CC profile and the protection circuit tripped cleanly at the low-voltage cutoff threshold.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and complete one full discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map its coulomb counter against the new cell's actual discharge curve before any high-current charging begins.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the CBS718 after a cell swap

The CBS718's fuel gauge IC stores a discharge curve calibrated to the original cell. A new cell with a slightly different internal resistance profile hits a voltage cliff at a different state of charge. The phone's modem or screen draws a current spike, the voltage drops below the shutdown threshold, and the OS cuts power even though the reported percentage looks safe. One full discharge-to-shutdown followed by a complete charge resets the coulomb counter and resolves this.

Device not powering on after the battery sat in storage

Li-ion cells stored at low charge self-discharge over time. If the cell voltage drops below roughly 2.5V, the BMS enters a lockout state and blocks normal charging to prevent cell damage. The phone will appear completely dead. Connect to a wall charger — not a PC port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing any buttons. Most BMS circuits re-initialise once the charger pushes voltage back above the recovery threshold of approximately 2.9V.

Frequently Asked Questions

My CBS718 shuts off at around 25% battery — why does this keep happening with the new cell?

The fuel gauge IC on the CBS718 is still reading from the old cell's discharge curve stored in memory. When the modem or display pulls a current spike, the actual cell voltage drops faster than the percentage reading suggests, triggering a shutdown. Run one complete discharge — let the phone power off on its own — then charge it to 100% without interruption. That single cycle recalibrates the coulomb counter to the new cell's actual characteristics.

The CBS718 won't fast charge after I fitted the replacement battery — it just trickle charges.

Fast charge protocols require the BMS on the new cell to complete a handshake with the charge IC before high-current delivery is authorised. On the first cycle after a cell swap, many phones default to standard charging until that negotiation is confirmed. Charge the phone fully on a standard charger through one complete cycle, then reconnect with your fast charger. If fast charging still does not activate, check that the charger output meets the CBS718's required input voltage — typically 5V at the charging port.

The battery percentage on my CBS718 jumps around erratically — 60% one minute, then 45% a few seconds later.

Erratic percentage readings after a cell replacement are a fuel gauge IC recalibration issue, not a faulty cell. The IC's stored charge model no longer matches the new cell's impedance and discharge profile, so its state-of-charge estimates are unreliable. Avoid partial top-ups for the first two charge cycles. Let the phone discharge fully to auto-shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — repeat this twice and the readings should stabilise.
