Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

MyPhone 1050 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (MP-S-I)

This is a 3.7V, 1050mAh Li-ion cell for the MyPhone 1050 smartphone. It replaces the original MP-S-I battery when the existing cell has degraded, swells, or no longer holds a usable charge. Dimensions are 55.42 × 35.01 × 5.41mm — measure your bay before installing if the original has expanded.

  • MyPhone 1050 fitment: The 1050 uses a fixed voltage rail at 3.7V with a connector and contact layout matched to the MP-S-I form factor. Swapping to any cell outside this voltage range will cause the charge IC to reject the battery or fail to regulate correctly.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on a 3.7V Li-ion test rig, confirming BMS cutoff at both the low-voltage floor and charge termination voltage. Cell voltage at rest settled at 3.85V after a full charge cycle.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and complete one full discharge-to-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before the charge IC pushes higher current into an uncalibrated cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the MyPhone 1050 after a cell swap

A new cell has a slightly different voltage-versus-capacity curve than the original. The fuel gauge IC still holds the old curve in memory, so it misreads how much charge remains. When the modem or display pulls a current spike, the cell voltage drops below the BMS cutoff threshold — even though the reported percentage looks safe. The phone shuts off to protect the cell. One full discharge-to-charge cycle forces the coulomb counter to recalibrate against the new cell, and the shutdowns stop.

MyPhone 1050 not powering on after the replacement battery sat in storage

Li-ion cells self-discharge in storage. If the cell voltage drops below approximately 2.5V, the BMS enters a lockout state and blocks current flow entirely — the phone will not respond to the power button or a charger. Connect the phone to a low-current USB source and leave it for 15–30 minutes without pressing anything. The charge IC will trickle current into the cell until it clears the lockout threshold, after which normal charging resumes. If the phone still shows no response after 30 minutes, verify the charger is delivering at least 5V with a USB meter.

Frequently Asked Questions

The MyPhone 1050 shuts off suddenly when the battery still shows 25% — is the new cell faulty?

It is almost always a fuel gauge IC calibration issue, not a faulty cell. The IC carries the discharge curve of the old battery and misreads where the new cell's voltage cliff sits. When the screen or modem spikes current draw, the cell voltage dips below the BMS cutoff even though the counter still shows charge remaining. Run one complete discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the coulomb counter to the new cell's curve.

The MyPhone 1050 shows a charging symbol but the percentage does not move after I fit the new battery.

This usually means the BMS entered a low-voltage lockout during storage and the charge IC is delivering trickle current rather than full charge current. Leave the phone on a 5V USB charger without interruption for at least 20 minutes — do not press the power button. Once the cell clears approximately 2.9V, the IC switches to normal charge current and the percentage will start climbing. Confirm your charger is outputting 5V with a USB meter if there is still no movement after 30 minutes.

Why does the battery percentage on my MyPhone 1050 jump around erratically after the swap — going from 60% to 45% then back up?

The fuel gauge IC is actively recalibrating against the new cell and has not yet built a stable state-of-charge model. Percentage readings are interpolated from voltage and current data; with an uncalibrated cell, small load changes produce large apparent jumps. The erratic readings typically settle after one or two full discharge-charge cycles as the coulomb counter accumulates enough data to anchor the curve accurately. Avoid partial top-ups during these first two cycles — charge from near-empty to 100% each time.
