Fits Amazon Fire Phone models 6581A, 32GB, 64GB with OEM part numbers 26S1003-A, 58-000057, 58-000068, S12-M1-C.
Delivers 3.8V and 2400mAh capacity — sufficient for full-day use across display, processor, and background apps on Fire Phone hardware.
Connector seats flush into battery slot with positive and negative terminals aligned; locking tab secures pack without forcing during installation.
We bench-tested this Li-Polymer cell on Fire Phone hardware; BMS accepted the pack on first charge cycle without early cutoff or thermal events.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle so the fuel gauge IC recalibrates against the new cell discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Amazon Fire Phone — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (26S1003-A)

This is a 3.8V, 2400mAh Li-Polymer cell that replaces OEM part 26S1003-A in the Amazon Fire Phone (model 6581A), including the 32GB and 64GB variants. It also cross-references 58-000057, 58-000068, and S12-M1-C. If the original cell no longer holds a charge or the phone shuts down unexpectedly, this is the direct swap.

  • Fire Phone and 6581A tablet compatibility: Both device variants use the same physical cell format, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. Voltage rail is 3.8V nominal across the board, so one cell covers the full compatibility range without hardware modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the Fire Phone platform. The BMS accepted the new cell without rejection errors, and the charge IC ramped current correctly from trickle through CC/CV phases.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first cycle: On first use after installation, run one complete discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% before using the device. This lets the coulomb counter IC map the new cell's discharge curve before normal use begins.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Fire Phone after a cell swap

A new Li-Polymer cell has a slightly different voltage-to-capacity curve than the aged cell it replaces. The Fire Phone's fuel gauge IC was calibrated to the old cell's curve, so it misreads the new cell's state of charge. When the display or modem draws peak current, cell voltage drops below the BMS cutoff threshold even though the OS reports 20–30% remaining. The fix is one full discharge-to-shutdown and uninterrupted recharge cycle — after that, the coulomb counter recalibrates to the new curve and shutdowns stop.

Fire Phone not powering on after the replacement cell sat in storage

Li-Polymer cells stored below 2.5V per cell trigger a BMS lockout — the protection circuit disconnects the cell to prevent damage, and the phone shows no response to the power button. Plug into a wall charger using the original cable, not a USB hub or PC port, and leave it for 20–30 minutes before pressing power. Most BMS circuits re-initialise once input voltage from the charger is detected above the lockout threshold. If the screen stays black after 30 minutes on charge, try a second known-good charger before assuming cell failure.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Fire Phone shows 25% battery and then just cuts off — why does this keep happening with the new cell?

The OS percentage is calculated by the fuel gauge IC, which was calibrated to the original degraded cell's voltage curve. The new cell holds voltage differently under load, so when the screen or modem draws a current spike, voltage drops below the BMS cutoff before the gauge hits 0%. Run one full discharge to automatic shutdown followed by a full uninterrupted charge to 100% — this resets the coulomb counter to the new cell's actual curve and the cutoffs stop.

Battery percentage on my Fire Phone is jumping around erratically after I put in the replacement — is the new cell faulty?

Not faulty — the fuel gauge IC is recalibrating. It stored a learned discharge model from the old cell, and the new cell's impedance and capacity profile don't match that model. The gauge reads voltage but applies the wrong conversion table, so percentages jump or stall. Complete two full discharge-charge cycles without interruption and the IC will overwrite the old model with data from the new cell.

The Fire Phone feels warm near the battery area during the first few charges after replacement — should I be concerned?

Mild warmth on the first one or two charges is normal with a new high-impedance cell. The charge IC applies a constant-current phase against a cell that hasn't yet been broken in, which generates slightly more heat than a conditioned cell. If the phone becomes hot to the touch or the charge stops and restarts repeatedly, that points to a charge IC fault — check the charging port for debris and test with a second cable. Normal break-in warmth disappears after the second or third full cycle.
