This is a 3.7V, 900mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Astak Action Pro 3 and CM-7500 action cameras. Part number 752836 matches the OEM cell specification. Swap it in when the original cell no longer holds a usable charge between recording sessions.

  • Action Pro 3 and CM-7500 compatibility: Both models share the same battery bay dimensions and 3.7V single-cell Li-ion voltage rail. The 752836 part number covers both. The connector orientation and BMS handshake profile are identical across the two.

A fresh replacement cell discharges on a slightly different curve until the BMS has logged a full cycle. This causes the indicator to skip steps or drop suddenly — the cell itself is fine. Run one complete charge from empty to full inside the camera body, and the display will stabilise to a more accurate readout.

This happens when the camera's BMS reads the resting voltage of a new or stored cell and flags it as depleted before checking load voltage. A cell that has been in storage can sit below the camera's minimum acceptance threshold — typically around 3.0V on this platform. Connect the battery to an OEM-compatible charger externally first and bring it up to at least 3.6V. Once voltage is above the acceptance window, insert it into the camera and it will register correctly.

My Action Pro 3 shows "no battery" even though I just fitted a brand new 752836 cell — what's going on?

The Action Pro 3 BMS runs a voltage check on insertion, and a new or stored cell can sit just below the camera's acceptance threshold. The camera reads that low resting voltage as no cell rather than a low cell. Charge the battery externally first using an OEM-compatible charger until it reaches at least 3.6V, then re-insert it into the camera body.

The battery percentage on my Action Pro 3 drops from 80% to 20% in seconds — is the replacement cell faulty?

The cell is almost certainly fine. The Action Pro 3 indicator maps percentage to fixed voltage thresholds tuned to the original cell's discharge curve, and a new cell discharges on a slightly different curve until it has been cycled. The display reads the voltage correctly but assigns the wrong percentage to it. Run one full charge and discharge cycle inside the camera body and the percentage readout will track far more steadily.

My Action Pro 3 records fewer clips than expected on a full charge — the original cell lasted longer at the same settings.

Shot count varies with more than just capacity — continuous video mode, high-resolution settings, and the camera's image processing all draw additional current beyond what a still-capture spec implies. A 900mAh cell at 3.7V delivers 3.33Wh total; if you are recording in a higher bitrate mode or in cold temperatures, available energy per session will be lower. Check that you are not running a higher resolution profile than the original session used, and keep the camera above 10°C where possible to avoid cold-related voltage sag.
