Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Asus N45 Series — 11.1V Li-ion Replacement Battery (A32-N55)
This is a 11.1V, 4400mAh (48.84Wh) Li-ion replacement battery for the Asus N45 notebook line. It fits the N45, N45E, N45S, N45SF, and more than twenty additional N45-series variants. The OEM part numbers are A32-N55 and 07G016HY1875.
- N45-series compatibility: All covered models share the same 11.1V three-cell rail, identical connector pinout, and the same BMS handshake protocol — so one cell works across the full N45 lineup without firmware differences or adapter modifications.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on an N45SF. The BMS negotiated correctly with the system board on first connection, and charge termination triggered cleanly at full capacity with no overcharge event detected.
- Post-install discharge cycle: After fitting this cell, run the laptop on battery until it hibernates at cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This forces the BIOS battery learn cycle to reset against the new cell and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap on this platform.
BIOS reporting battery health as poor immediately after fitting a new cell
The N45 BIOS reads health data from EEPROM embedded in the battery pack, not from live cell voltage. When a new cell arrives, the EEPROM contains factory default values that don't match the BIOS's stored baseline for the old pack. The system flags this mismatch as poor health even though the cell is at full capacity. Run one complete discharge-to-hibernate cycle followed by a full uninterrupted charge — the BIOS resets its learn cycle and the health warning clears.
Laptop shuts down abruptly while the OS still shows 20–25% remaining
This is a voltage cliff failure, not a faulty gauge. Under combined CPU and display load, cell voltage drops faster than the fuel gauge IC can recalculate. The protection circuit cuts power at its minimum voltage threshold — typically around 9.0V for an 11.1V pack — before the displayed percentage reaches zero. The fuel gauge IC needs two to three full calibration cycles against the new cell to map the actual discharge curve. Charge to 100%, run to hibernate cutoff twice, and the shutdowns at false-percentage readings will stop.

Frequently Asked Questions
The OS fuel gauge shows a wildly different percentage every time I look at it — bouncing between 60% and 90% on a new battery. What is going on?
The fuel gauge IC on the N45 platform calibrates its percentage estimate against discharge history stored from the old cell. A new cell has a different internal resistance curve, so the IC's model is temporarily wrong and jumps around. This corrects itself after two full discharge-to-hibernate cycles followed by complete uninterrupted charges. After the second full cycle the gauge stabilises and tracks accurately.
Windows is showing this battery's capacity as 41Wh in system info, but the spec says 48.84Wh. Is the cell defective?
This is an EEPROM data difference, not a defective cell. The Wh figure Windows reads comes from the rated design capacity field written into the battery's EEPROM at the factory, which can differ from the measured actual capacity under real load conditions. The cell itself is not underperforming — run one full discharge and recharge cycle and check the Windows battery report again using `powercfg /batteryreport` to see the measured full charge capacity against the design capacity.
Charging stops and holds at exactly 80% and never goes higher — is this a fault with the replacement cell?
On many Asus N45 units, the BIOS includes a battery charge limit setting that caps charging at 80% to reduce long-term cell stress during AC-connected use. This is a firmware-controlled threshold, not a fault with the replacement cell. Open MyASUS or ASUS Battery Health Charging utility, check the charge mode setting, and switch it from "Balanced" or "Maximum Lifespan" to "Full Capacity" — charging will then proceed to 100%.
