Fits Asus ZenFone Max M2 and ZB633KL models, replacing OEM battery C11P1805(1ICP4/67/87).
3.85V at 3900mAh capacity restores full operating time on this mid-range Android device.
Connector slides straight into the stock battery slot with standard Li-Polymer contact alignment.
We ran full discharge and recharge cycles on a ZenFone Max M2 test unit—BMS accepted the cell without fault codes and voltage held steady under load.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle so the fuel gauge IC recalibrates against the new cell discharge curve before high-current charging resumes.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Asus ZenFone Max M2 — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (C11P1805)

This 3.85V, 3900mAh (15.02Wh) Li-Polymer battery replaces the original C11P1805 cell in the Asus ZenFone Max M2, ZenFone Max M2 Dual SIM, and ZB633KL. It fits the slot directly and connects to the same charge IC and fuel gauge circuitry as the factory cell. Use it to recover a phone that no longer holds a charge or has a swollen, damaged battery.

  • ZB633KL and Dual SIM compatibility: Both variants run the same 3.85V power rail, use the same flex connector pinout, and handshake with the same BMS logic — one cell covers all three listed models without any wiring or firmware difference.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge, load, and cutoff sequences on a ZB633KL unit. The BMS accepted the cell on the first cycle, charge current tapered correctly at full capacity, and the low-voltage cutoff triggered at the expected threshold with no false trips.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After fitting this cell, disable fast charging and run one full discharge-to-charge cycle at standard current. The ZenFone Max M2's fuel gauge IC is calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve — one slow cycle lets it map the new cell before high-current charging starts.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the ZenFone Max M2

This is a voltage cliff symptom, not a capacity problem. When the modem fires a high-data burst or the screen hits peak brightness, current draw spikes sharply. A degraded or freshly swapped cell that hasn't been calibrated can't sustain the voltage under that load, so the phone shuts off even though the gauge still shows charge remaining. The fix is one full discharge-charge cycle at standard current to let the fuel gauge IC remap the new cell's actual voltage curve. After that cycle, the OS reads the remaining charge accurately and shuts down at the correct threshold near 3.0V per cell.

Phone won't power on after sitting in storage with a flat battery

If the ZenFone Max M2 has been stored for weeks or months with a depleted cell, the BMS may have locked out below 2.5V to prevent damage — the phone won't respond to the power button or show a charging indicator. Plug in a charger and leave it connected for 15–20 minutes without pressing anything; the charge IC trickle-charges the cell back above the BMS unlock threshold. Once the cell reaches approximately 2.8–3.0V, the BMS re-initialises and the phone boots or shows the charging screen normally.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does my ZenFone Max M2 show the wrong battery percentage after I replaced the battery?

The fuel gauge IC stores a discharge curve calibrated to the old cell — it doesn't automatically reset when you fit a new one. Until it learns the new cell's voltage-to-capacity relationship, the percentage reading drifts, often showing full charge earlier or dropping suddenly. Run one complete discharge down to auto-shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% at standard current with fast charging disabled. After that single cycle, the coulomb counter has enough data to report accurately.

Fast charging stopped working the first time I plugged in after fitting the replacement battery — is something wrong?

This is normal on the first connection. The charge IC runs a handshake with the new BMS before it steps up to high current, and on the first cycle it often falls back to standard 5V charging while it verifies the cell. Unplug, wait 10 seconds, and reconnect — most units accept the fast-charge protocol on the second handshake attempt. If it still doesn't kick in, complete one full standard-current charge cycle first; the IC typically enables the high-current path from the second cycle onward.

The back of my ZenFone Max M2 feels warm near the battery while charging the new cell — is that normal?

A new Li-Polymer cell has slightly higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell, so the charge IC pushes against more resistance in the first few cycles and generates a little more heat. Warm to the touch is within normal range; hot enough to be uncomfortable is not. Keep the phone on a hard flat surface during charging for the first three cycles so heat can dissipate, and avoid charging inside a case until the cell has broken in. Impedance drops after a few full cycles and the warmth should reduce noticeably.
