Auro Classic C2030 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery
This is a 3.7V Li-ion cell rated at 900mAh (3.33Wh), built to fit the Auro Classic C2030 smartphone. It replaces the original battery when the existing cell no longer holds a usable charge. Physical dimensions are 46.47 × 39.79 × 5.33mm — confirm these against your current cell before ordering.
- C2030 fitment: The Classic C2030 uses a small-format removable Li-ion cell at 3.7V nominal. This replacement matches the voltage rail and connector orientation the phone's charge IC expects. A mismatch in either drops the device to a boot loop or prevents charging entirely.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran charge and discharge cycles on this cell and monitored BMS cutoff behaviour at both ends of the voltage curve. The protection circuit trips correctly at the low-voltage threshold, and the cell accepts a full charge without thermal spike.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate its discharge curve against the new cell before any high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated state.
Why the C2030 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap
The C2030 uses a fuel gauge IC that builds a discharge model from the previous cell's history. When you install a new cell, the IC still references the old curve, so the percentage readout drifts — often reading high then dropping suddenly. This is not a fault in the new battery. One full discharge to auto-off followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% resets the coulomb counter and realigns the reported percentage to the actual cell state.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell
This happens when the modem or display draws a load spike and the cell voltage drops below the BMS cutoff threshold — even though the gauge still shows charge remaining. It points to an uncalibrated fuel gauge reading optimistically against a fresh cell. Run one full discharge-charge cycle without interruption. After calibration, the gauge tracks the actual voltage curve more accurately and the premature cutoffs stop.

The BMS locks out the cell when voltage drops below roughly 2.5V during storage. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a USB port — and leave it for 20 to 30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC trickle-charges the cell back above the BMS recovery threshold, after which the phone should boot normally.
Fast charging stopped working on my C2030 right after I fitted the replacement battery — did I get a faulty cell?
The phone's charge IC negotiates the fast-charge protocol on the first cycle and can reject it if the new cell's BMS hasn't completed an initial handshake. Charge the phone once at standard speed through a full cycle to 100%. On the next charge, plug in your fast charger — the IC re-negotiates the protocol against a cell it has already profiled.
The C2030 feels noticeably warm near the battery compartment while charging the new cell — is that normal?
A new cell typically has slightly higher impedance than a well-cycled original, which causes the charge IC to dissipate more heat during the constant-current phase. After three or four full charge cycles, impedance drops and the warmth reduces. If the phone becomes hot to the touch or throttles the screen, remove the case to improve airflow and confirm the charger output does not exceed 5V/1A for this device.
