Fits Emporia Telme C145 and replaces original AK-C145 battery pack directly.
3.7V, 900mAh lithium-ion cell restores full talk time and standby on this senior-friendly candybar phone.
Connector slides straight into the existing battery slot with no locking tab — orientation marked inside phone.
We bench-tested this cell in the Telme C145 charging circuit; BMS accepted charge at full rate with no fault codes on insertion.
After installation, run one complete discharge-charge cycle before heavy use — the fuel gauge IC needs to recalibrate against this cell's discharge curve to prevent false low-battery shutdowns.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Emporia Telme C145 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (AK-C145)

This 3.7V, 900mAh Li-ion battery replaces the original AK-C145 cell in the Emporia Telme C145 candybar mobile phone. It fits the Telme C145 directly, restoring power to a phone built around straightforward calling and messaging. Dimensions are 46.47 × 39.79 × 5.33mm — check these against your original before installing.

  • Telme C145 fitment: The C145 uses a removable battery bay with a simple connector and no proprietary BMS handshake beyond basic cell voltage recognition. The AK-C145 form factor is specific to this model — no cross-compatibility with other Emporia lines.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full discharge and charge on the Telme C145 platform. The BMS accepted the new cell without lockout, and charge termination triggered correctly at full voltage.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration after swap: After fitting this battery, run one complete discharge to near-empty followed by a full uninterrupted charge before relying on the percentage indicator. The phone's fuel gauge IC is calibrated against the old cell's discharge curve — one full cycle resets it to the new cell.

Why the Telme C145 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The Telme C145 uses a simple fuel gauge IC that tracks capacity by mapping voltage against a stored discharge curve from the original cell. When you install a new cell, that stored curve no longer matches the actual discharge behaviour of the fresh battery. The phone may show 100% immediately after a short charge, then drop suddenly to a lower figure. One full discharge-to-charge cycle lets the IC relearn the new cell's voltage profile and report accurately.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This happens when the fuel gauge IC still holds the degraded curve of the old cell and miscalculates the remaining charge. Under load — an incoming call or screen wake — the cell voltage drops faster than the IC expects, tripping the low-voltage cutoff before the displayed percentage reaches zero. The fix is the same: complete one full discharge cycle so the IC maps the new cell's actual voltage cliff. After that cycle, the shutdowns should stop.

Frequently Asked Questions

The phone powers on fine but shuts off suddenly while making a call — the battery still shows charge remaining. What's causing this?

This is a voltage cliff failure. Under the load of an active call, the cell voltage sags below the BMS cutoff threshold before the fuel gauge IC registers empty — so the phone dies with percentage still showing. It happens most often when the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve. Run one full discharge to near-empty, then charge uninterrupted to 100%, and the IC will remap its cutoff point to the new cell.

The phone doesn't power on at all after the replacement battery sat unused in a drawer for a few months. Is the new cell dead?

Probably not dead — likely in BMS lockout. Li-ion cells self-discharge in storage, and if the voltage dropped below roughly 2.5V per cell, the BMS cuts all output to protect the cell from damage. Connect the phone to a charger and leave it for 15–20 minutes without pressing the power button. Most BMS circuits recover from deep discharge once the charger pushes the cell voltage back above the lockout threshold.

The phone feels noticeably warm near the battery compartment during the first few charges after fitting the new cell. Is something wrong?

This is normal on first charge cycles with a new high-impedance cell. The charge IC pushes current into a cell that hasn't yet been conditioned, which generates more heat than a broken-in cell would. If the warmth is mild and the phone is not hot to the touch, it's not a fault. After two or three full charge cycles, internal impedance drops and the heat during charging reduces to the level you'd expect.
