Fits Axvue Baby Monitor parent unit, replaces OEM part number AEC85460.
3.7V, 2700mAh lithium-polymer cell delivers full wireless range and night vision LED brightness on the parent unit.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot with a single locking tab; orientation marked on the housing.
We bench-tested the BMS on a full charge cycle — the monitoring radio initialized cleanly and held voltage steady under sustained screen operation.
Re-pair the parent unit with your camera unit after battery installation, as power loss breaks the wireless connection link.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Axvue Baby Monitor — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (AEC85460)

This 3.7V, 2700mAh lithium-polymer battery replaces the original power cell in the Axvue Baby Monitor parent unit. It fits the portable handheld unit that receives the wireless feed from the camera. Capacity figures are taken from the product specification — 9.99Wh total energy.

  • Parent unit fit: The Axvue parent unit runs a low-power wireless receiver, LCD backlight, and IR night-vision relay — all from a single 3.7V Li-Polymer cell. This battery matches the OEM voltage rail and cell dimensions (61.20 × 46.30 × 7.10mm) so the BMS accepts the pack without a fault flag.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on a Li-Polymer test rig. The BMS accepted charge without triggering overcurrent cutoff, and the cell held stable voltage through the screen-on, night-vision active load profile typical of overnight monitoring sessions.
  • Re-pair after installation: After replacing the battery, the parent unit loses its stored wireless link with the camera unit. Power both units on and run the pairing sequence from the parent unit menu before expecting live video — skipping this step is the most common cause of a blank screen after a battery swap.

Parent unit draining overnight with screen on

Running the Axvue parent unit all night with the LCD backlight active is a sustained draw that the original 2700mAh cell was margined for when new. As that cell ages, capacity drops and the unit cuts out before morning. The replacement cell restores full capacity, but the screen-on load still burns through charge faster than standby mode. Enable the screen timeout in the display settings — the audio alert and vibration alerts remain active even when the screen blanks, so you lose nothing functionally.

Night vision not activating after battery replacement

The IR LED array on the Axvue parent unit requires the cell voltage to be above roughly 3.5V before the night-vision circuit enables. If you install a freshly unpacked replacement and go straight to a dark room, the cell may not yet be at full charge — some packs ship at storage voltage, around 3.6–3.7V. A partial charge is enough to trigger the cutoff threshold under IR load. Charge the parent unit fully before testing night vision; once the cell sits at 4.1–4.2V, the IR circuit activates normally.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Axvue parent unit shows a blank screen after I swapped the battery — camera feed is gone. What's wrong?

Replacing the battery cuts power to the parent unit completely, which clears the stored wireless pairing with the camera. The blank screen means the units are no longer linked — it's not a camera fault or a battery fault. Power on both the camera unit and the parent unit, then run the pairing sequence from the parent unit's menu. Once they re-link, the live feed returns.

The range on my Axvue parent unit dropped after fitting the new battery. It used to reach the back garden — now it loses signal in the next room.

Wireless range on the Axvue parent unit is directly tied to the radio transmitter's supply voltage. If the replacement cell wasn't fully charged before first use, the radio runs at reduced power and the effective range shrinks. Charge the parent unit to 100% before testing range — a fully charged 3.7V Li-Polymer cell gives the radio circuit its full voltage headroom. If range is still short after a full charge, check that no large metal objects or thick concrete walls have been added between the units.

The Axvue parent unit battery dies much faster than the original did, even though I just replaced it — drains completely overnight.

Overnight drain is almost always caused by leaving the LCD backlight on continuously through the night. The 2700mAh cell can sustain that load, but screen-on draw is significantly higher than audio-only standby. Go into the display settings and set the screen timeout to 30 seconds or less — audio and vibration alerts stay active when the screen is off. If the battery still drains unusually fast with the screen off, the cell may have shipped at storage voltage; give it two full charge cycles before assessing real-world capacity.
