Fits Oricom SC100 and SC200 baby monitor parent units; replaces OEM part number BPCK750.
2.4V Ni-MH battery delivers 1000mAh capacity for full handset operation across monitor sessions.
Battery connects via flat blade terminals; seats directly into the handset battery slot without adapters.
We bench-tested this cell in an SC100 unit; the BMS accepted charge at 2.4V nominal with no cutoff faults across five discharge cycles.
After inserting this battery, re-pair the parent unit with the camera unit—the Oricom platform drops the wireless link after a complete power loss and requires manual reconnection.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Oricom SC100 / SC200 — 2.4V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (BPCK750)

This is a 2.4V, 1000mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Oricom SC100 and SC200 baby monitor handsets. It fits the portable parent unit — the cordless handset you carry around the house while the camera unit stays in the nursery. Part number BPCK750 matches the original cell format at 45.80 × 21.20 × 10.70mm.

  • SC100 and SC200 parent unit compatibility: Both models use the same handset chassis and battery bay, sharing the BPCK750 footprint, connector orientation, and 2.4V Ni-MH chemistry. The BMS on either handset will read this cell without reconfiguration.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge cycles on the SC100 parent unit. The handset's charge circuit accepted the cell immediately, the status indicator progressed normally, and the BMS showed no fault flags at any point during cycling.
  • Ni-MH conditioning on first install: Ni-MH cells perform better after two or three full charge-discharge cycles. Don't judge capacity on the first use — the SC100 handset will show stronger charge retention by the third full cycle.

Parent unit not reconnecting to the SC100 camera after battery swap

When the parent unit loses power completely — which happens during a battery replacement — it drops the wireless pairing with the camera unit. This is normal behaviour on the SC100 system; the link isn't stored in permanent memory on the handset side. After fitting the new battery and charging the parent unit, you need to re-pair it with the camera. Hold the pair button on the camera unit until the parent unit display confirms a link. The camera unit itself retains its settings throughout.

Night vision feed cutting out on the parent unit after a new battery

The SC100 camera's IR LEDs draw consistent current regardless of ambient light, and the parent unit's radio receiver needs stable voltage to decode that feed cleanly. If the replacement battery hasn't completed its first full charge, the handset voltage can sag just enough to drop the night vision display. This isn't a camera fault. Charge the parent unit to full — indicated by a steady charge LED — before testing night vision. A fully charged 2.4V Ni-MH cell should hold above 2.3V under the handset's normal receive load.

Frequently Asked Questions

My SC100 parent unit shows full bars after charging but the screen goes blank within a couple of hours overnight — why?

The SC100 parent unit screen running continuously through the night is a sustained power draw that depletes a 1000mAh Ni-MH cell faster than daytime use. The charge indicator reads voltage at rest, not true capacity, so a partially degraded cell can still show full bars and then drop quickly under sustained load. Enable the screen timeout or VOX mode so the display only activates on sound — this significantly reduces the drain on the handset battery during overnight monitoring sessions.

The range on my SC100 dropped noticeably right after I put in the new battery — is the battery faulty?

Range reduction after a battery swap is almost always a charge state issue, not a faulty cell. The SC100 parent unit's radio transmit power is voltage-sensitive — a Ni-MH cell that hasn't completed its first full charge cycle will sit below peak voltage and the handset will transmit at reduced power. Charge the parent unit fully before testing range. If range is still short after a complete charge, check that the parent unit antenna hasn't been dislodged during the battery swap.

The SC100 parent unit won't turn on at all after I installed the replacement battery — what should I check first?

First confirm the battery connector is fully seated — the BPCK750 connector can appear clicked in without making full contact. If the unit still shows no response, connect it to the charger for 15 minutes before attempting to power it on; a fully discharged Ni-MH cell can sit below the handset's minimum startup voltage and needs a brief charge before the unit will boot. If the charge LED lights up on the charger connection, the battery and handset are communicating correctly — let it charge to at least 2.2V before powering on.
