Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Bagotte BG600 / BG700 Series — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (H18650CH-4S1P)

This is a 14.4V, 2600mAh Li-ion battery pack for the Bagotte BG600, BG600 MAX, and BG700 robotic vacuum cleaners. It replaces OEM part H18650CH-4S1P and powers the drive motors and cleaning system. Capacity figures are taken directly from the product specification — 37.44Wh total energy.

  • BG600 and BG700 platform fit: These models share the same 14.4V battery rail, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol, which is why a single pack covers the full range. Swapping between them does not require any firmware or charger changes.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through the BG600 charge and discharge loop under motor load. The BMS held the correct cutoff thresholds and the dock handshake completed without fault codes on every test run.
  • Dock charging habit for this vacuum: Do not leave the BG600 sitting on its dock between cleaning sessions indefinitely. Continuous trickle charge from the dock degrades cell capacity faster than standard use cycles. Charge fully, then remove until the next run.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

The BG600 motor draws significantly more current when the filter is partially blocked or the brush roll is restricted. That extra draw causes voltage to sag at the cell level before the indicator registers a low state. The vacuum interprets this as normal load and keeps running, but suction output falls noticeably. Clean the filter and check the brush roll for hair wrap — if suction recovers, the battery is not the cause.

Motor cutting out mid-cycle and restarting after a pause

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a power failure. When sustained suction restriction forces the motor to pull above the pack's rated discharge current, the BMS opens the circuit to protect the cells. The pack resets after the thermal and current conditions normalise — usually within 30 to 60 seconds. Clear the filter and inlet path, then restart the vacuum. If the trip recurs on a clean filter, verify the replacement pack's rated discharge current matches the H18650CH-4S1P specification before assuming a fault.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Bagotte BG600 runs for a much shorter time than it used to — could the filter be causing this?

Yes, a partially blocked filter is a direct cause. It forces the motor to draw above its rated current to maintain airflow, which drains the battery faster than normal operation. The battery indicator may still show a high charge while runtime has already dropped significantly. Clean or replace the filter first — if runtime improves, the battery is not at fault.

My BG600 was working fine but now it won't charge on the dock — the dock light just flashes and nothing happens.

A flashing dock light usually means the charger is not completing the BMS handshake with the battery pack. Some replacement packs use a slightly different BMS communication sequence, and the BG600 dock will reject the charge cycle if the handshake fails. Connect the battery directly using the original charging lead if available, bypassing the dock, to confirm whether the pack accepts charge at all. If direct charge completes but the dock still rejects it, the dock's charge controller may need a reset — hold the power button on the vacuum for 10 seconds with the battery installed before re-docking.

My BG600 battery faded noticeably after only a few months — is it a faulty cell?

Likely not — this pattern is almost always caused by continuous dock charging between sessions. The BG600 dock does not stop charging once the pack is full; it continues a low-level trickle that degrades cell capacity faster than normal discharge cycles. Check whether the vacuum has been sitting on the dock daily without being used. Remove the pack from the dock once charging is complete and store the vacuum off-charge — capacity loss from this cause typically stabilises once the habit changes.
