Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Pure Clean PUCRC660 / PUCRC675 / PUCRC850 — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 14.4V 2600mAh lithium-ion battery for the Pure Clean PUCRC660, PUCRC675, and PUCRC850 robotic vacuum cleaners. It replaces the original cell pack when capacity has degraded to the point the unit can no longer complete a full cleaning cycle. Voltage and connector match the original so the onboard BMS accepts the swap.

  • PUCRC660, PUCRC675, PUCRC850 compatibility: These three models share the same 14.4V battery bay, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol. One cell pack covers all three without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this battery through charge and discharge cycles on a PUCRC-series unit. The BMS accepted the cell, balanced across all nodes, and the vacuum completed full floor passes without a mid-cycle cutoff.
  • Dock charging habit on robotic vacuums: Do not leave the PUCRC660 sitting on the dock between uses indefinitely. Continuous trickle charging accelerates capacity fade in lithium cells faster than normal cycle wear. Charge to full, then remove from the dock until the next run.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

The PUCRC660's motor draws harder when airflow is restricted — a partially clogged filter or blocked intake forces the motor to pull more current than rated. The BMS reads that surge as an abnormal load and throttles power to the motor before the battery gauge reflects the actual cell state. The result is noticeably weaker suction while the indicator still shows mid-charge. Clear the filter and check the dustbin seal before assuming the battery is at fault.

Motor cuts out mid-run then restarts on its own

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When the vacuum hits a carpet edge or sustained resistance, motor current spikes briefly above the BMS threshold and the pack shuts output to protect the cells. The BMS resets automatically once current drops, which is why the unit restarts seconds later. Check the brush roll for tangled hair or debris and clean the filter — both cause the sustained high-draw condition that triggers the trip repeatedly.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Pure Clean PUCRC660 keeps cutting out on carpet and restarting — is that the battery dying or something else?

That stop-start pattern is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a failing cell. When the brush roll meets resistance — tangled hair, a thick rug pile, or a clogged filter — motor current spikes and the BMS shuts the pack output briefly to protect the cells. It resets itself once current drops, which is why the vacuum restarts on its own. Clean the brush roll and filter first; if the trips stop, the battery was never the problem.

The robot finishes a run but the suction noticeably weakens well before the battery indicator shows low — why?

A partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw more current to maintain airflow. The BMS sees that elevated draw and steps down power to the motor before the cells are actually depleted, so suction drops while the gauge still reads mid-charge. Tap out the filter and clear the dustbin inlet, then run again — if suction holds steady longer, the restriction was the cause. If suction still fades early with a clean filter on a new battery, check the intake path for a partial blockage.

My replacement battery on the PUCRC675 charged fully but the runtime is noticeably shorter than the old battery when it was new — what's wrong?

A new battery delivering short runtime almost always points to a restricted airflow path making the motor labour harder than it should. Higher motor current draws the pack down faster than the rated 2600mAh predicts under normal load. Remove, clean, and reinstall the filter, then clear the brush roll and run a timed cycle on bare floor — lower motor demand will bring runtime closer to rated. If runtime stays short on a clean machine, verify the charger cut off correctly and the pack reached full charge before the test run.
