Fits Baidu Cloud V5 and V5100B smartphones, replacing OEM part 100B battery.
3.8V, 2200mAh cell restores full charge cycles on devices showing capacity loss or sudden shutdown.
Connector seats flat into the battery slot with no locking tab — orientation is marked on the housing.
We bench-tested this pack on a V5 load simulator; the BMS accepted charge current smoothly and held voltage under screen-on discharge.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle — this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve before high-current charging runs.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Baidu Cloud V5 Series — 3.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (100B)

This is a 3.8V, 2200mAh Li-ion cell replacing part number 100B in the Baidu Cloud V5 and V5100B smartphones. It restores power to a phone that shuts down early, won't hold charge, or won't turn on at all. Capacity figure comes directly from the product specification — 8.36Wh total energy.

  • V5 and V5100B platform fit: Both models use the same 100B cell footprint, voltage rail, and connector pinout. The BMS handshake and charge IC logic are identical across this variant, so a single cell serves both without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on a V5 unit. The BMS accepted charge from the phone's onboard charge IC without fault flags, and voltage held stable across screen-on and modem-active load states.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard rate. This gives the fuel gauge IC a clean reference against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging begins on an uncalibrated cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This happens when the fuel gauge IC is still reading the old cell's discharge curve after a swap. The phone calculates remaining charge based on voltage thresholds mapped to the worn cell — not the new one. When the new cell hits a voltage point the IC interprets as critical, it triggers an emergency shutdown even though usable charge remains. One full discharge to near-zero followed by a complete charge cycle resets the coulomb counter reference — after that, the percentage reading tracks the actual cell state correctly.

Device not powering on after the replacement sat in storage

If the battery self-discharged below approximately 2.5V during storage, the BMS enters lockout mode to prevent cell damage from deep discharge. The phone will show no response on the charge cable and no boot screen. Connect to a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it for 15–20 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC on the phone needs to trickle current into the cell long enough for the BMS to register a safe voltage threshold and release the lockout before normal charging resumes.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Baidu Cloud V5 just shuts off at around 25% battery — why does this happen with a brand new cell?

The fuel gauge IC in the V5 is still calibrated to the old cell's voltage-to-capacity curve. When the new cell reaches a voltage point the IC associates with near-empty on the worn cell, it triggers a shutdown even though charge remains. This is not a fault in the replacement cell. Run one full discharge down to auto-off, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — that single cycle resets the coulomb counter to the new cell's curve.

Fast charging stopped working on my V5 after I put the new battery in — is the phone broken?

The phone's charge IC sometimes withholds high-current charging on the first cycle with a new cell while it samples the cell's impedance. This is normal BMS behaviour, not a fault. Charge once at standard rate through a full cycle. On the second charge, fast charging typically resumes as the IC confirms the new cell's internal resistance is within spec.

The battery percentage on my V5 jumps around erratically — it reads 60%, then suddenly drops to 40% with no load change.

Erratic percentage readings after a cell swap come from the fuel gauge IC recalibrating its reference points against the new cell's discharge profile — the IC is still interpolating from old data. The jumps narrow after each full cycle as the coulomb counter builds an accurate map of the new cell. Complete two full discharge-charge cycles at standard rate and the percentage tracking will stabilise.
