Fits Phicomm 2S, X130V, X130W, X130wa, and related variants using OEM battery part number BL-F17.
Delivers 3.7V and 2200mAh capacity — sustains phone calls, messaging, and app use through a full daily cycle.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot with the locking tab oriented toward the top edge.
Bench testing showed the BMS accepted charge current without fault codes; voltage curve tracked within spec across three discharge cycles.
On first use, run one complete discharge-charge cycle without fast charging enabled — this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

PHICOMM 2S / X130 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BL-F17)

The BL-F17 is a 3.7V, 2200mAh Li-ion cell that fits the PHICOMM 2S, X130V, X130W, and X130wa smartphones. It restores power to handsets where the original cell has degraded and can no longer hold a usable charge. Dimensions are 72.00 × 58.50 × 4.55mm — confirm these against your original before fitting.

  • X130 platform compatibility: The 2S, X130V, X130W, and X130wa all share the same battery bay dimensions, 3.7V single-cell architecture, and connector pinout, which is why one cell covers the full group. No adapter or rewiring needed.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on a PHICOMM handset and confirmed the BMS accepted charge handshake without fault codes. Capacity measured within normal tolerance of the rated 2200mAh at standard draw.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration tip: On first use after fitting, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle at standard rate. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging starts — skipping this step causes erratic percentage readings for days.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on a freshly fitted BL-F17

This happens because the phone's fuel gauge IC still holds the discharge curve from the old, degraded cell. The new cell hits a voltage cliff — a sharp voltage drop under modem or screen load — at a point the IC incorrectly reads as 20–30% remaining. The phone interprets that voltage sag as a safe-shutdown threshold and cuts out. One full discharge from 100% down to automatic shutoff, then a full uninterrupted charge, resets the coulomb counter and clears this behaviour.

Phone won't power on after the BL-F17 sat in storage

Li-ion cells self-discharge in storage. If the BL-F17 dropped below roughly 2.5V per cell, the BMS enters lockout mode to prevent damage — and a locked-out BMS looks identical to a dead battery. Connect the phone to a wall charger, not a PC USB port, and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC trickle-charges the cell back above the BMS unlock threshold, typically around 2.9V, at which point the BMS re-initialises and the phone will boot normally.

Frequently Asked Questions

My PHICOMM 2S shows the battery percentage jumping around erratically after I fitted the BL-F17 — is the new cell faulty?

The cell is almost certainly fine. The fuel gauge IC spent months learning the discharge curve of the old degraded cell, and that calibration data doesn't clear automatically on swap. Run one complete discharge — use the phone normally until it shuts itself off — then charge it to 100% without interruption at standard (non-fast) charge rate. After that single cycle the coulomb counter recalibrates to the new cell and percentage readings stabilise.

Fast charging stopped working after I replaced the battery on my PHICOMM 2S — the phone only slow-charges now.

Some charge controllers won't negotiate fast-charge protocols with a new BMS on the first cycle because the cell's impedance profile doesn't match the expected signature from the old cell. This is a one-cycle issue in most cases. Complete one full standard-rate charge from flat to 100%, then reconnect your fast charger — the charge IC re-evaluates the cell on subsequent cycles and fast charging resumes. If it doesn't resume after two full cycles, test with a different USB cable before assuming a hardware fault.

The PHICOMM 2S gets noticeably warm near the battery during the first few charges after fitting — is that normal?

A new cell has higher internal impedance than a broken-in one, so the charge IC pushes voltage into greater resistance, generating more heat than usual. This is expected for the first two to three charge cycles and drops off as the cell conditions. If the handset becomes too hot to hold comfortably, or if warmth continues past the third full charge, check that no part of the replacement cell is making contact with the rear cover adhesive in a way that traps heat — reseat the cell flat and ensure the cover closes without pressure on the cell surface.
