Fits Vivo Y51 and Vivo Y51A models, replaces OEM part B-95 or BK-B-95.
3.8V lithium-polymer at 2300mAh delivers the same capacity as your original cell for full operational time.
Connector slides onto the motherboard contact pad with a single locking tab — no force needed.
We bench-tested this cell in a stock Y51 and the fuel gauge IC accepted the new BMS handshake on first insertion without lockout.
On first charge after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle — this lets the coulomb counter recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve before high-current charging masks BMS voltage sag.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

BBK Vivo Y51 Series — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (B-95)

This is a 3.8V, 2300mAh (8.74Wh) lithium-polymer cell built to replace the original B-95 battery in the Vivo Y51 family. It fits the Vivo Y51, Y51 TD-LTE, Y51 Dual SIM, and Y51A. When the factory cell degrades and can no longer hold voltage under screen or modem load, this is the direct swap.

  • Y51 variant coverage: The TD-LTE, Dual SIM, and Y51A share the same physical battery bay dimensions and BMS handshake protocol as the base Y51 — same connector, same 3.8V nominal rail. One part number covers the full variant group.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran the B-95 replacement through charge, discharge, and modem-load cycles. The BMS accepted charge from the Vivo charge IC without fault flags and held voltage above the modem-cutoff threshold through a full discharge curve.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard current. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before fast charge pushes higher current into an uncalibrated coulomb counter.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Vivo Y51 after a cell swap

The Y51's fuel gauge IC was calibrated to the original cell's internal resistance profile. A new cell has lower impedance, which shifts the voltage-to-percentage mapping. Under high-draw moments — screen at full brightness, active 4G modem, GPS — the SoC reads 25% but the cell voltage drops sharply below the hardware shutdown threshold. The phone cuts out even though the displayed percentage looks safe. One full discharge down to automatic power-off followed by a full charge resets the coulomb counter and eliminates most of these early shutdowns.

Vivo Y51 not powering on after the replacement battery sat in storage

Lithium-polymer cells self-discharge in storage. If the cell dropped below approximately 2.5V per cell, the BMS enters lockout to prevent damage and will not pass current to the phone even when a charger is connected. Plug in a known-working Vivo-compatible charger and leave it connected for 15–20 minutes without pressing the power button — the charge IC trickle-charges the cell back above the BMS re-enable threshold. Once the phone shows a charging indicator, proceed with a normal full charge before first use.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does my Vivo Y51 show the wrong battery percentage after fitting the B-95 replacement?

The fuel gauge IC on the Y51 holds a learned discharge curve from the old cell — it does not automatically reset when a new cell is installed. Until the IC recalibrates, the percentage reading lags or jumps because the coulomb counter is mapping new cell voltages against old reference data. Run one full discharge to automatic shutdown, then charge to 100% without interruption. After that single cycle, the reported percentage tracks the actual cell state accurately.

Fast charging stopped working on my Vivo Y51 after I replaced the battery — what happened?

On the first charge cycle after a cell swap, the Y51's charge IC runs a validation handshake with the new BMS. If the handshake does not complete cleanly — which happens on the first cycle with some replacement cells — the charge IC drops back to standard 5V charging as a safety fallback. Disconnect the charger, wait 60 seconds, and reconnect. If fast charge still does not engage, complete one full standard-speed charge cycle first; the BMS typically accepts the proprietary fast-charge protocol from the second cycle onward.

My Vivo Y51 feels warm near the battery compartment while charging the new cell — is that normal?

A new lithium-polymer cell has higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell, which means slightly more energy converts to heat during the first few charge cycles. This is most noticeable during the bulk-charge phase. The warmth should stay well below uncomfortable-to-touch levels — if the back of the phone becomes hot or charging stops before 100%, the charge IC has triggered a thermal limit. Charge in a room-temperature environment without a case for the first two cycles to keep the thermal load low.
