Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Elephone ECOO E04 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (E04)
This is a 3.7V Li-ion cell rated at 2400mAh (8.88Wh) for the Elephone ECOO E04 smartphone. It replaces the original internal battery when the existing cell can no longer hold a usable charge or fails to power the device. The E04 OEM part number matches the connector layout and BMS handshake on the ECOO E04 board.
- ECOO E04 fit: The ECOO E04 uses a dedicated connector and a board-level fuel gauge IC that reads cell impedance during charge cycles. This cell matches the voltage profile the IC expects, so percentage reporting initialises correctly after a full calibration cycle.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the ECOO E04 platform. The BMS accepted the cell without error flags, and the charge IC completed a full constant-current to constant-voltage transition at 4.2V without cutoff.
- First-cycle calibration on the ECOO E04: On first use after installation, disable fast charging if available and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC build an accurate discharge curve for the new cell before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated state.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell
This happens when the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve. The new cell hits a voltage cliff under screen or modem load — the board reads a valid percentage, then the cell voltage drops below the cutoff threshold instantly. The phone shuts down because actual cell voltage diverges from the IC's prediction. One full discharge cycle from 100% to automatic shutdown, followed by a full charge, resets the coulomb counter and fixes this.
Phone shows wrong battery percentage after cell swap
The ECOO E04's fuel gauge IC stores charge-state data mapped to the original cell's impedance and capacity fade profile. A fresh cell has lower internal resistance and a different discharge curve, so the IC's stored model is immediately out of sync. This causes percentage jumps, premature low-battery warnings, or a stuck reading at a fixed number. Perform two full discharge and charge cycles without interruption to force the IC to recalibrate against the new cell's actual voltage curve.

Frequently Asked Questions
My ECOO E04 shuts off at around 25% battery — is the new cell faulty?
The cell is not faulty. The phone's fuel gauge IC is still using the discharge curve it built for the old degraded cell, so it misjudges the voltage cliff on the fresh cell under load. When the screen or modem draws peak current, the cell voltage drops faster than the IC predicts and the board cuts power. Run one full uninterrupted discharge to automatic shutdown, then charge to 100% — this resets the coulomb counter to match the new cell's actual curve.
The battery percentage on my ECOO E04 jumps around erratically after I fitted the replacement — what causes that?
The fuel gauge IC on the ECOO E04 tracks charge state using a model built from the previous cell's impedance data. A new cell has lower internal resistance, so the IC's predictions are off until it collects fresh data. The result is percentage readings that jump, stall, or read higher than actual state of charge. Two complete discharge-charge cycles without interruption will force the IC to rebuild its model against the replacement cell.
The ECOO E04 won't power on after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — how do I recover it?
A Li-ion cell stored without use will self-discharge. If it drops below roughly 2.5V, the BMS enters a lockout state and blocks normal charging to prevent an unsafe charge into an over-discharged cell. Plug the phone into a charger and leave it connected for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button — the charge IC will trickle current into the cell at low rate until voltage clears the BMS threshold. Once the cell reaches approximately 3.0V, normal charging resumes and the phone will power on.
