It resets automatically after 30–60 seconds once the pack cools slightly. The fix is upstream: clear the filter, check for carpet fibre jammed in the brush roll, and confirm the dust bin is not overfull. If trips continue on a clean, unobstructed vacuum, verify the replacement pack voltage reads 14.4V under a no-load multimeter check before assuming a fault.
