This is a 25.2V, 2500mAh (63Wh) lithium-ion battery pack for the Dreame V8, V9, V9B, and V9/V9P-BC cordless stick vacuum cleaners. It replaces OEM part number VVN4 when the original cell degrades and suction performance or runtime drops noticeably. Dimensions are 153.80 × 77.30 × 59.80mm — confirm fitment against your existing pack before ordering.

  • V8 and V9 series compatibility: These models share the same 25.2V battery rail, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol, which is why a single pack covers the full V8/V9 lineup. Swapping between these models does not require any firmware or connector changes.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through charge and discharge cycles on the V9 platform. The BMS engaged correctly at low-voltage cutoff, and the charger handshake completed without fault codes or charging interruptions.
  • Dock charging habit on Dreame stick vacs: Do not leave the vacuum on the charging dock permanently. Continuous dock charging causes capacity fade significantly faster than charging only when the cell is depleted. Charge to full, then remove the battery or vacuum from the dock.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

This happens when a partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw more current than rated. The battery's BMS detects voltage sag under that elevated load and throttles power to protect the cell — suction drops even though the indicator still shows charge remaining. The battery itself is not the root cause. Clean or replace the filter first, then retest. If suction holds after a filter clean, the cell is performing correctly.

Motor cuts out mid-use then recovers after a short pause

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. Sustained restricted airflow — usually a blocked filter or a full dust cup — pushes motor current past the BMS protection threshold, which cuts power momentarily. The BMS resets automatically once current normalises, which is why the vacuum restarts after a brief pause. Clear the blockage and empty the dust cup. If the trip repeats on an unobstructed vacuum, check that the replacement pack's BMS threshold matches the OEM spec — verify with the VVN4 part number.

Not necessarily. A restricted filter raises motor current draw, which causes voltage sag inside the pack — the BMS throttles output to protect the cell before the indicator triggers. Clean or replace the HEPA filter and empty the dust cup, then run a full charge cycle. If suction holds consistently after that, the battery is functioning correctly.

The vacuum cuts out after a few seconds on carpet, then starts again if I wait — what's causing that?

That's a BMS overcurrent trip. Deep carpet increases motor load sharply, and if the filter is even partially blocked, current spikes past the BMS protection threshold and cuts power.
