Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Black & Decker LSW60C / CM2060C Series — 60V Li-ion Replacement Battery (LBX1560 / LBX2560)
This is a 60V 2500mAh (150Wh) Li-ion replacement battery for Black & Decker 60V MAX outdoor power equipment. It fits the LSW60C cordless blower, CM2060C mower, LHT360CFF hedge trimmer, LHT360, and several other models in the 60V MAX platform. The pack uses the same connector and BMS handshake as the original LBX1560 and LBX2560.
- 60V MAX platform compatibility: These models share a common 60V rail and a standardised battery interface across the platform. The BMS in each tool communicates with the pack through the same multi-pin connector, so one battery moves between a blower, mower, and hedge trimmer without an adapter or firmware issue.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through motor-start inrush cycles on a CM2060C deck motor and an LHT360CFF cutter head. The BMS held under repeated inrush events and balanced cells correctly across full charge and discharge cycles.
- Seasonal storage tip: Before the first cut of the season, bring the battery indoors overnight if temperatures are below 10°C. Cold Li-ion cells carry higher internal resistance, and the blade motor's inrush current can trip the BMS on a cold pack before the motor even reaches full speed.
BMS cutoff on thick-grass or wet-grass blade load
The CM2060C deck motor draws significantly more current through dense or wet grass than on a dry, short lawn. If the instantaneous current demand spikes past the BMS protection threshold — typically triggered by a clogged deck or a blade bogging through clippings — the pack will cut out to protect the cells. This is a protection event, not a fault. Clear the deck, let the pack cool for two minutes, and the BMS will reset automatically. Keeping blade speed up and making shallower passes through heavy growth reduces the frequency of these trips.
Charger won't accept the pack after winter storage
If the pack sat in a cold garage through winter without a top-up charge, individual cells may have self-discharged below the charger's acceptance voltage — typically around 2.5V per cell. The charger sees the low voltage and refuses to start a charge cycle as a safety measure. Connect the pack to the charger and leave it for 30 minutes; some chargers will trickle current into a deeply discharged pack to bring cells back above the acceptance threshold before switching to full charge mode. If the charger fault light stays solid after 45 minutes, measure pack voltage at the terminals — a reading below 42V on a 60V pack indicates cells that will not recover.

Frequently Asked Questions
My CM2060C cuts out halfway through a row then starts again after a minute — is the battery failing?
This is thermal protection activating, not a failing cell. The blade motor generates heat under continuous load, and the BMS trips when pack temperature exceeds its cutoff threshold — usually after a long uninterrupted run in warm weather or through thick growth. The pack resets once it cools. Allow a 5-minute cooldown with the battery seated in the tool, then continue. If it trips after shorter and shorter runs over several weeks, the cells are degrading and capacity has dropped.
The battery runs noticeably cooler and feels like it has less power on the first cold morning of spring — is something wrong?
Nothing is wrong. Li-ion cells lose available capacity below 10°C because internal resistance rises as temperature drops — the chemistry slows down in the cold. The BMS may also limit discharge current to protect cold cells from stress. Bring the pack indoors for a few hours before cutting on a cold morning. Once the cells are at room temperature, full capacity returns immediately.
The new battery runs warmer than the old one did — should I be concerned?
Not during the first few cycles. Fresh cells go through a conditioning phase where the electrolyte settles into the electrode structure, and internal resistance is slightly higher until that process completes. Heat output normalises after approximately 5 full charge-discharge cycles. If the pack is too hot to hold comfortably after cycle 6 or still triggers the tool's thermal cutout, stop using it and check that the battery terminals are clean and fully seated — a poor contact forces the pack to work harder under load.
