Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Robomow Premium RS630 / RS635 Series — 25.6V LiFePO4 Replacement Battery (BAT6000A)
This 25.6V 6000mAh LiFePO4 battery replaces the original pack in the Robomow Premium RS630, RS635, RS635 Pro S, and TS1800 robotic mowers. LiFePO4 chemistry suits this application — it handles the blade motor's repeated inrush spikes better than standard Li-ion. Compatible OEM part numbers include BAT6000A, MRK6103A, BAT6000C, BAT6001B, MRK6105A, and 57953070.
- RS630 / RS635 / TS1800 platform fit: These models share the same 25.6V battery rail, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. The same pack slots across all three without modification to wiring or dock contacts.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through simulated blade-load draws matching thick-grass cutting resistance. The BMS held voltage within spec across repeated motor-start inrush events and did not trigger a false cutoff during sustained high-draw passes.
- Spring startup tip: Before the first mow of the season, bring the battery indoors overnight if temperatures are below 10°C. Cold LiFePO4 cells carry higher internal resistance, and the blade motor's inrush current can trip the BMS on a pack that hasn't warmed to ambient.
BMS cutoff during thick-grass or wet-grass cutting passes
When the RS630 hits dense or waterlogged grass, the blade motor pulls a hard inrush current to maintain RPM. If the battery's state of charge is already low — typically below 20% — the BMS can read that spike as an overcurrent fault and cut the output rail entirely. The mower stops and the dock light shows a battery fault. Let the mower sit off the dock for 60 seconds, then reconnect — the BMS resets once the fault timer clears. Keep the battery above 25% when scheduling mowing sessions in overgrown conditions.
Charger not accepting the pack after winter garage storage
LiFePO4 cells self-discharge slowly but steadily over months. A pack stored uncharged through winter can drop below the charger's acceptance threshold — typically around 20V for this platform. The dock shows a solid fault LED and refuses to begin a charge cycle. To recover the pack, connect it to the charger and monitor voltage with a multimeter at the battery terminals. If voltage reads between 18V and 23V, leave the charger connected for 30–60 minutes — most Robomow docks include a trickle pre-charge mode that will bring the cells back above acceptance voltage before switching to full charge.

Frequently Asked Questions
My RS630 cuts out halfway across the lawn then starts again after a few minutes — what's happening?
This is thermal protection triggering, not a faulty battery. The blade motor heats the pack during sustained cutting, and the BMS shuts the output rail when cell temperature hits the protection threshold. It resets once the pack cools. Allow a 5-minute rest before restarting, and check that the battery compartment vents aren't blocked by grass clippings.
The mower is running noticeably shorter sessions in the first few weeks with the new battery — is something wrong?
Nothing is wrong. LiFePO4 cells reach full capacity after approximately 5 full charge-discharge cycles. New cells leave the factory with a partial charge and the BMS recalibrates its state-of-charge calculations over the first few cycles. Run 5 complete mow-and-dock cycles before comparing output to the old pack.
The new battery feels warmer than the old one during and after mowing — should I be concerned?
Mild warmth during the first 5 cycles is normal. New cells generate slightly more heat as the electrolyte settles into the electrode structure. If the battery is hot to the touch — uncomfortable to hold for more than 2 seconds — that indicates a real thermal event. In that case, remove the pack from the mower, let it cool on a non-flammable surface, and measure resting voltage at the terminals; a healthy pack should read between 25.6V and 29.2V after a full charge.
