Fits BlackView R6 smartphones; replaces OEM battery part number BL1549I.
3.8V and 3000mAh capacity restores full charge cycles to aging R6 units that have lost capacity.
Connector slides straight into the original slot with no locking tab — orientation marked on the pack.
We bench-cycled this cell in an R6 test unit; the BMS accepted charge within spec and held voltage under screen load.
On first use after installation, run one complete discharge-charge cycle without fast charging — this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve before high-current charging resumes.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

BlackView R6 — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BL1549I)

This is a 3.8V, 3000mAh lithium-polymer replacement battery for the BlackView R6 smartphone. It carries OEM part number BL1549I and fits the R6 directly. Swap it in when the original cell can no longer hold charge or causes unexpected shutdowns.

  • BlackView R6 fit: The R6 uses a fixed battery bay sized to this cell's 80.10 × 61.36 × 3.76mm footprint. The BMS connector pinout matches the phone's charge IC, so the handshake initialises without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the bench, confirming the BMS cutoff engages correctly at the low-voltage threshold and that the charge IC accepts the cell without fault flags.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one full discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated state.

Why the R6 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The R6's fuel gauge IC stores a learned discharge curve from the original cell. When a new cell goes in, that stored curve no longer matches the actual voltage-to-capacity relationship of the replacement. The gauge reads against the old curve and reports inaccurate percentages — often inflated early in a charge and deflated near the bottom. One full discharge to automatic shutdown followed by a complete uninterrupted charge resets the coulomb counter and re-anchors the curve to the new cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the BlackView R6

This is a voltage cliff issue, not a capacity issue. Under load from the modem or screen, the cell voltage drops faster than the fuel gauge predicts, hitting the BMS low-voltage cutoff before the display reads zero. It happens most often when the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to a degraded original cell. Run one full discharge-charge cycle without fast charging — this recalibrates the gauge — and check that the reported percentage at shutdown is closer to 0–5% before concluding there is a hardware fault.

Frequently Asked Questions

My BlackView R6 won't turn on at all after the new battery sat in storage for a few months — is it dead?

The BMS locks out when cell voltage drops below roughly 2.5V during prolonged storage. Connect the phone to a wall charger using the original cable and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button — the charge IC needs to trickle current into the cell before the BMS unlocks and allows normal charging to begin. If the charging indicator appears after that window, the cell has recovered. If there is no response after 45 minutes on charge, the cell has dropped below the recovery threshold.

Fast charging stopped working after I put in the replacement battery — why?

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the phone's charge IC sometimes refuses to negotiate the fast-charge protocol because the BMS on the new cell has not yet completed an initial handshake cycle. Run one full standard-speed charge to 100% without triggering fast charge, then discharge the phone to automatic shutdown. On the next charge cycle, reconnect to a fast-charge-capable adapter — the protocol negotiation should succeed once the BMS has completed that first full cycle.

The battery percentage on my R6 keeps jumping around erratically — sometimes it drops 10% in seconds, then climbs back up.

Erratic percentage jumps are the fuel gauge IC recalibrating against a new cell it has not yet characterised. The coulomb counter is interpolating against the old cell's stored discharge curve, so any load spike — screen brightness, GPS, a data sync — produces a voltage drop the gauge misreads as a large capacity drop. Let the phone reach 0% and shut itself down naturally, then charge it in one uninterrupted session to 100%. After that single full cycle the gauge reanchors its curve and the jumping stops.
