Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Blaupunkt CC-R900H / ERC884 / F9 — 7.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery
This 7.4V, 2600mAh Li-ion cell replaces the original battery in the Blaupunkt CC-R900H, ERC884, and F9 cameras. It powers the imaging sensor, processor, and onboard electronics through the full shooting session. Capacity figures come from product data — 19.24Wh total energy.
- CC-R900H, ERC884, and F9 shared platform: These three models draw from the same 7.4V battery rail and use a matching connector footprint and cell dimensions (70.80 × 38.50 × 23.20mm), which is why a single replacement cell covers all three.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through the camera's charge and discharge sequence, confirmed the BMS handshake cleared on first full charge, and verified voltage held steady across both idle standby and active sensor draw.
- First-install charge cycle on the CC-R900H: Run the new cell to full charge inside the camera body or OEM charger before your first shoot. Some Blaupunkt camera BMS systems map battery-remaining percentage against a calibrated charge curve — skipping this step can cause the indicator to read inaccurately from the start.
Battery percentage jumping erratically on the CC-R900H display
The CC-R900H maps its battery-remaining indicator to a specific voltage-threshold curve calibrated to the original cell's discharge profile. A new replacement cell follows a slightly different curve at the top and bottom of the charge range. The BMS reads voltage correctly but translates it to the wrong percentage step, so the display can skip — say, 80% down to 55% in one shot. One complete charge and discharge cycle inside the camera body usually lets the BMS recalibrate its threshold mapping. If jumping continues after two full cycles, check that resting voltage at full charge reads between 8.3V and 8.4V with a multimeter.
Camera body warm and battery depleting faster during video recording
Sustained video on the CC-R900H pulls simultaneous current from the sensor, image processor, and any active stabilisation or autofocus — all at once, continuously. This combined draw is significantly higher than still photography, and it puts more thermal load on both the cell and the body than the shot-count spec reflects. The cell is not faulty; total energy (19.24Wh) is fixed, and continuous video just converts it faster than intermittent stills do. Keep recording sessions under the camera's recommended continuous clip length and allow the body to cool between extended takes to stay within safe operating temperature for the BMS.

Frequently Asked Questions
My CC-R900H shows "no battery" or refuses to recognise the new cell — what's happening?
The camera's BMS runs an authentication check on first install, and a fresh cell with zero charge history can fail that check before it establishes a handshake. Insert the battery and charge it to full inside the camera body or the OEM charger without interrupting the cycle. Once the charge completes, power the camera on — the BMS typically accepts the cell after one uninterrupted charge from within the body. If the error persists, confirm resting voltage on the cell is above 7.0V before reinserting.
Flash isn't fully recycling between shots — is this the battery or the flash capacitor?
At the end of a cell's charge cycle, current delivery sags as voltage drops toward the BMS cutoff threshold, and the flash capacitor takes longer to recharge between exposures because it's drawing from a lower-voltage source. This is normal behaviour at low charge states, not a defective cell or capacitor. Recharge the battery and test again — if full recycle time returns to normal at a full charge, the cell is fine. If recycle lag appears immediately on a fully charged new cell, check that the cell's resting voltage reads at least 8.2V before shooting.
Shot count is lower than expected even though the battery reads full — what's reducing it?
The rated capacity of 2600mAh reflects energy stored, not shots delivered — actual shot count depends on what the camera activates per frame. On the CC-R900H, continuous autofocus, image stabilisation, LCD preview, and flash all draw current beyond the baseline shutter-and-sensor load, and each active feature compounds the drain. Cold ambient temperatures also suppress available capacity temporarily, even on a fully charged cell. To get closer to expected shot counts, disable features you're not actively using and keep the camera body above 10°C during shooting.
