Fits BLU Advance 4.0 models A270 and A270A, replacing OEM part C745043160T.
Outputs 3.7V at 1450mAh capacity, delivering 5.37Wh — sufficient for standard calling, messaging, and app use on daily cycles.
Connector seats flush into the original battery slot with no adapter needed; verify the contact strip orientation before closing the device.
We ran a full discharge-recharge cycle on the test unit; the BMS accepted charge without fault codes and held voltage stable under load.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle to let the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell's discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

BLU Advance 4.0 / A270 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (C745043160T)

This is a 3.7V, 1450mAh Li-ion battery for the BLU Advance 4.0 (A270, A270A) smartphone. It replaces part number C745043160T when the original cell degrades or fails to hold a usable charge. Dimensions are 74.26 × 50.05 × 4.00mm — confirm these against your existing battery before installing.

  • A270 and A270A compatibility: Both variants share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and 3.7V nominal voltage rail, so one cell covers the full Advance 4.0 lineup without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the Advance 4.0 board. The BMS accepted charge current without tripping, and the protection circuit cut off cleanly at the low-voltage threshold rather than allowing deep discharge.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: Disable fast charging for the first complete discharge-charge cycle after installation. This gives the phone's fuel gauge IC time to map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes energy into an uncalibrated cell — preventing erratic percentage readings from the start.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Advance 4.0 after a cell swap

The Advance 4.0 uses a coulomb-counter-based fuel gauge IC that retains the discharge curve of the old cell in memory. When the replacement cell hits a voltage point the IC associates with a safe operating range, the actual cell voltage under modem or display load can drop below the shutdown threshold faster than the gauge expects. This is a calibration mismatch, not a faulty battery. One full uninterrupted discharge down to auto-shutdown, followed by a full charge, forces the IC to relearn the curve. After one complete cycle, shutdowns at false percentages typically stop.

Phone not powering on after the replacement battery sat in storage

Li-ion cells in storage self-discharge slowly. If the cell drops below approximately 2.5V, the battery's BMS protection circuit locks out to prevent damage, and the phone will show no response — no charging indicator, no boot. Connect the phone to a wall charger rather than a USB port on a PC; wall adapters supply consistent 5V and higher current, which is more likely to trigger the trickle-charge recovery mode the BMS needs to re-initialise. Leave it connected for at least 30 minutes before attempting to power on. If the indicator light appears during that window, the BMS has recovered and normal charging will resume.

Frequently Asked Questions

The BLU Advance 4.0 shows 25% battery and then cuts off instantly — is the new battery faulty?

This is a fuel gauge calibration issue, not a defective cell. The phone's coulomb counter was calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve and doesn't know where the new cell's actual voltage cliff sits. Let the phone discharge fully to auto-shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without using it. One complete cycle rewrites the curve, and the premature shutdowns stop.

Fast charging stopped working after I installed the replacement battery in my Advance 4.0 — what's wrong?

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC on the Advance 4.0 may default to standard current until it confirms the new BMS responds correctly to its handshake. This is a built-in safeguard, not a compatibility failure. Complete one full standard charge cycle first. Fast charge typically re-enables automatically on the second cycle once the IC has logged a clean BMS response.

The battery percentage on my Advance 4.0 keeps jumping around erratically after the swap — 60% one minute, 45% the next.

The fuel gauge IC is still recalibrating against the new cell's impedance profile. Erratic readings are expected in the first one to two cycles after installation. Run the phone from 100% down to auto-shutdown without topping up mid-cycle, then charge fully to 100% — this gives the IC a clean reference point at both ends of the curve. Readings stabilise after one or two complete cycles.
